Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of the bond of care, respect, and protection. It was a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude to the men and women in uniform who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. 🇺🇸❤️

Rakhi Making Workshop & Shakha Picnic – Valmiki Shakha

Today, members of all ages came together for a joyful Rakhi Making Workshop & Picnic at Valmiki Shakha. From children to adults, everyone enjoyed creating beautiful handmade rakhis while celebrating the spirit of Raksha Bandhan—a festival that symbolizes love, care, and the bond of protection.

The day was filled with creativity, laughter, games, delicious food, and meaningful conversations, making it a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendships and build a stronger community.

🙏 Vitthal Palkhi at Valmiki Shakha 🙏

With great devotion and enthusiasm, we celebrated the Vitthal Palkhi at Valmiki Shakha. The event brought together swayamsevaks and families in a spirit of bhakti, unity, and our rich cultural heritage.

The soulful chants of “Vitthal Vitthal Jai Hari Vitthal”, the vibrant palkhi procession, and everyone’s enthusiastic participation made the celebration truly memorable. It was inspiring to see our younger generation actively learning and experiencing these timeless traditions.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, participants, and families who helped make this event a grand success. Together, we continue to preserve and pass on our cultural values to future generations.

On May 3rd, 2026, the Valmiki Shakha of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh proudly organized a heartfelt Guru Vandana celebration in Allentown, PA — honoring the dedicated teachers and mentors who shape the lives of our children every single day! 🌸
In our tradition, the Guru holds the highest place of reverence —
Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara…
The teacher is not merely an educator but a guide who dispels the darkness of ignorance and lights the path of wisdom. 🪔
