Last week, we attended the 76th annual The Arc of Illinois Convention.

Hundreds of agencies, individuals, family members, and advocates met for 2 days of inspiration and education with breakout topics regarding self-advocates, caregiving, industry acronyms, creating a safe workspace, behavior supports, and much more.

Author and comedian Zach Anner was one of the keynote speakers and spoke to how embracing obstacles unlocks optimism.

We were proud to be an exhibitor, but also to have a piece of EP!Casso art work selected for their contest.

This weeks celebrates the most recent Met Gala that was intentionally inclusive and accessible for the first time in 80 years! 🤯

Lil Gabi D Disabled people at the Met Gala?!?

Every year, I look forward to the first Monday in May aka the Met Gala. I love seeing the extravagant, creative looks and how designers interpret the theme. 🤩

This year has officially become my favourite Met Gala ever because there was more than one disabled person on the carpet! Plus, the event was accessible! ♿️

My favourite attendee was fellow Little Person Sinéad Burke, who is not only the founder and CEO of Tilting the Lens, but also worked with the Costume Institute to create a brand-new exhibit, The Disabled Body. 👩🏾‍🦼‍➡️

It’s amazing to see the trailblazers who are opening doors for the many disabled people coming after them. Now I know that when it’s my turn to go to the Met Gala, they’ll be ready for me! 💁🏾‍♀️

Whether you ride often or just want a fun reason to get outside, EP!Cycling is open to anyone with a bike. No fancy gear or cycling experience required — just bring your bike, your helmet, and your best “ready to roll” attitude.

We are celebrating Star Wars Day with a throwback that is truly out of this galaxy!

A few of our EP!C individuals had the chance to meet Chewbacca at Disney World, and from the looks of it, the Force was definitely strong with this group.

Whether you are a Jedi, a Wookiee, a droid, or just someone who loves a good adventure, today is a fun reminder that joy can be found in the little moments, the big memories, and the friends we meet along the way.

At EP!C, we believe mental health is an important part of overall well-being. Just like physical health, mental health deserves care, attention, understanding, and support.

Throughout the month of May, we’ll be sharing reminders, resources, and encouragement to help raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Whether it’s checking in on a loved one, taking time to rest, asking for help, or simply learning more, every step matters.

The EP!C Golf Outing is hitting the airwaves next week!

Tune in to Peoria Sports Radio 101.1 next week as we join host Jim Mattson to talk all about the upcoming EP!C Golf Outing.
