Most people shop for collagen the same way they shop for protein powder —
“How many grams does it have?”
But grams alone don’t tell the whole story.
When I’m evaluating a collagen supplement, I’m looking for three things working together:
âś… Collagen
âś… Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
âś… Chondroitin Sulfate
Here’s why all three matter —
Collagen is the framework — the structural support your body depends on.
Hyaluronic acid helps attract and hold moisture in your skin, joints, connective tissue, and even your eyes.
Chondroitin sulfate supports cartilage, joint cushioning, flexibility, and mobility.
Miss any one of these, and you’re leaving real results on the table.
I’m also looking for:
✔️ Clinical studies on the actual ingredient — not just the category
✔️ High bioavailability so your body can actually absorb it
✔️ The right molecular size for optimal uptake
✔️ Science-backed support for joints, skin, and connective tissue
Because it doesn’t matter what’s printed on the label if your body can’t use it.
Here’s something most people don’t realize —
After our 20s, our bodies naturally start producing less collagen. And that can quietly show up as:
❌ Joint discomfort
❌ Morning stiffness
❌ Reduced flexibility and mobility
❌ Fine lines and wrinkles
❌ Changes in skin elasticity
So before you grab just any collagen off the shelf, don’t ask “How many grams?”
Ask — “Does it have collagen, hyaluronic acid, AND chondroitin sulfate?”
That’s always my first question.
👇 Do you currently take a collagen supplement? Drop a YES or NO below — I’d love to know!
And if you want to know the collagen I personally use — and why I chose it over everything else out there — comment or DM me the word COLLAGEN and I’ll share all the details. 💛
Let me know if you’d like it shorter, more conversational, or with a specific product name woven in!
