I recently heard someone say they would never pay a $50 deposit for something they haven’t received yet, and I wanted to explain what that $50 actually represents. 🙃
Your tattoo appointment starts long before you sit in my chair.
It’s the time spent messaging back and forth, listening to your ideas, and using my knowledge and experience to turn the picture in your head into something I can actually put on your skin. It’s the time spent drawing and digitally designing your tattoo, preparing for your appointment, and reserving a spot on my calendar specifically for you.
It also protects the time I’ve set aside and the supplies I often have opened and ready before you even walk through the door.
And most importantly, that $50 isn’t an additional charge, it goes toward the total cost of your tattoo.
A deposit isn’t paying for “nothing.” It’s a small commitment toward all the work that happens before the tattoo even begins. 🤍
