Thank you to the community and everyone that came out today for our "first" Back to School Bash. It was hot, it was humid but it was an amazing event. We learned a lot from this event and will continue to grow!

First of all, we have to thank our nurse practitioner, Felecia McGhee because without her determination and drive, this event would not have taken place today. When she presented the idea, we were like yes, we would love to do it BUT maybe next year. We all know how that goes, next year would have came and went and no event because time moves fast and we are just so busy. However, she came back and said, I am going to make it happen and I believe she had less than a month to put it together. When I say, she did it, she DID IT WELL! She coordinated all of the vendors, figured out what supplies she could get and offer for this "first time event" and then soliciting her village to provide assistance. So with that, we are truly thankful to Felecia McGhee for getting us out of the group chat and got this event rolling this year!

I do not have the full list of vendors to thank but to all the junior entrepreneurs who were there - just WOW! They were awesome. Now we have to host a junior entrepreneur event so that these young people can SHINE!

All of our volunteers and donors were phenomenal; however, we do want to thank McGhee Electric who came out for one task but ended up wearing many many hats today. And to our donors who I will not mention since we did not discuss a public disclosure in advance, we thank you! We also want to thank you everyone who shared or liked our post!

Lastly, as much as we would have loved to ensure that every single child received supplies, the demand is always greater than the supply. We will be back next year and looking forward to a successful event!
