First day of preschool and First day of 8th grade! ❤️

Can’t wait to watch this kid enjoy his last year of grammar school!

8-12-24. 💛🎗️

I will never forget that day.
Standing in the hallway alone and being told Patrick had cancer. My heart sank. I wanted to puke. My whole world came crashing down. I was so lost and didn’t know how we could possibly tell him. 💛🎗️

Word traveled fast and the outpouring of love and prayers came in. The neighborhood all of a sudden starting filling with yellow ribbons and Patrick strong signs. 💛🎗️

Lemonade stands. Prayer services. Meal trains. So much support from friends family and complete strangers. 💛🎗️

At that time things happened so fast. Surgery. More biopsies. Chemo. Our whole lives changed with that diagnosis. So many unknowns but so much support I knew we would be ok. 💛🎗️

We had the BEST doctors and care team on our side. Some days it seems so long ago and others it’s seems like yesterday. 💛🎗️

I thank God every single day Patrick had the courage to show up and give it his all in his fight against pediatric cancer. He’s doing so good today. Went back to football and starting 8th grade on the 24th. Getting ready to choose what high School he wants to go to. All things that 2 years ago I didn’t know if it would be possible. But here he is, living his best life. 💛🎗️

Thank you God. Thank you science and thank you all of YOU for showing up for us 2 years ago and helping us through this journey. 💛🎗️

The prayers and love were and always will be so appreciated. Even though cancer will always be a part of Patrick’s life and there are so many future unknowns we are grateful for today and every day we get with him. 🎗️💛🎗️💛🎗️

It’s the first day of August!

One month from today will start Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Something that is near and dear to my heart. Last year we were lucky enough to collect hundreds of dollars in gift cards to give to the Keyser Center at the Children’s Hospital. This year let’s make it even more!! I will be collecting all through the month of August. The kids fighting cancer get to choose from the gift cards many times throughout their battle. These gift cards not only put a smile on Patrick’s face but also helpeded us out when needed. Here’s just a few ideas we gave last year:

Family and Friends it’s that time of year again….the Christmas Without Cancer NFP walk!!!! 💛🎗️

We again will be starting a team: Patrick’s All Stars. 💛🎗️

When registering make sure to join team Patrick’s All Stars 💛🎗️

The walk will be Saturday 9/19 in Evergreen Park. 💛🎗️

Let me know who wants to walk with us! We will be ordering shirts as well 💛🎗️

The 12th Annual Christmas Without Cancer 5k Run/Walk (In-Person OR Virtual Option) is on Saturday September 19, 2026. It includes the following events: 5K Walk (IN-PERSON), 5K Run (IN-PERSON) *bib / chip timing*, and 5K Run/Walk (VIRTUAL).

It’s Scan Day…

Patrick was originally scheduled a few weeks ago but we had to cancel due to an infection.

We go today and pray for clear scans and continued remission 💛🙏🏻💛🙏🏻💛🙏🏻
