When we doubt who we are, what we are, what we do, feel, or say, we begin to believe the thoughts we think and program ourselves into a pattern that makes us feel STUCK.

Sometimes it's hard to believe others or our own selves for that matter. 

If you have been putting effort into something that you know is good for you or looking for answers to a solution that has felt almost impossible by now, or just don't have the energy to continue believing the answer still exists...DON'T GIVE UP. ⭐

You may have felt like you FAILED. You may have broken your own rules or promises or you may not have shown up for what you promised yourself or others. IT'S OKAY. Don't beat yourself up about it. Learn from it and start over.

Every day we start over and have the chance to do again or do something differently. We are BLESSED that way. ⭐

We were programmed to believe that what we don't achieve or don't please for others equals to failing or that we're not enough but that is not true. There is only GROWTH and becoming stronger. 

Sometimes we become overwhelmed with the many parts to creating a goal or dream but a work of art doesn't always come to fruition right away and you only see pieces before the masterpiece.

Our bodies are the same. They are multifaceted, complex and unique. Taking small steps and not giving up, WILL eventually become your SUCCESS.

IMMUNITY SHOTS‼️

➡️When our digestion is off, so is our immune system. 

➡️Did you know that more than 70% of our immune system resides in our gut? This is why a healthy digestive system is crucial to our wellbeing and what we digest (properly) or don't digest (properly) determines the state of our health.

➡️What good bacteria is produced in our gut and what bad bacteria or pathogens get filtered out of our intestines, are all determined by the quality of our digestion and that is determined by the foods we eat and how we live.

😒Some common symptoms or conditions that relate to a poor immune system are: 

airborne and food allergies
skin conditions (like eczema)
asthma
chronic colds
celiac, crohn's, and lyme disease
sinus congestion
IBS
fibromyalgia
viral infections

⭐One remedy for strengthening our immune system is drinking down a powerful immune tonic and keeping it handy so you have quick access to it daily.

Ingredients:

🥕Carrots - antioxidant high in beta carotene

🌱Ginger - soothes the gut and lungs, helps prevent inflammation

🍋Lemon - high in vitamin C and helps the lungs and digestive system

🌱Turmeric - helps prevent respiratory disorders and 

🥥🧂Coconut oil & Black Pepper (help the other ingredients absorb easier)

➡️Directions: 1. Juice 6-10 carrots and 2" of both the ginger and turmeric. 2. Squeeze the juice of a small lemon into the carrot juice mix. 3.Add a pinch of black pepper and a spoonful of coconut oil. 4. Enjoy a shot (chilled/at room temp), keep chilled to store. Optional - add a pinch of cayenne for a stronger kick and more benefits!🔥

AVOCADO BOATS🥑🍳 - a favorite breakfast of mine filled with healthy fats!

💥Healthy Fats are essential, meaning our body cannot make them on our own, so we must get them through food. They are one of our greatest sources of energy.
They regulate our energy by slowing down the absorption of food so we can go for longer periods of time without having to eat.

💥They increase our satiety, so we feel full longer, so eating them for breakfast prevents the need to snack in between meals and keeps us from overeating unnecessarily.

💥They are key to absorbing our fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. So, if you’re taking these as supplements or eating them through your food, if you don’t have the healthy fats to absorb them, you’re wasting your time and money.

💥They are building blocks for our hormones and cell membranes and needed for the use of proteins.

Last but not least, they make other foods taste SO GOOD and are good for your ❤.

🥑 AVOCADOS are also a great source of fiber, assisting with your digestion and blood sugar regulation.

🍳EGGS are an excellent source of choline, a nutrient most are deficient in. This helps with brain function and prevents fatty liver.

SOUND GOOD?? Here's how to make them.⏬

Ingredients: avocado, eggs, seasoning, optional toppings (bacon, cheese, green onions, bell peppers, tomatoes…)

Directions: 
1. Cut avocado in half and take out the seed and a small portion of the filling to make room for the egg. Score each half.
2. Crack egg into each half and season with salt & pepper or any other herbs/spices of choice.
3. Cook at 400 degrees for about 12-15 mins. Make sure not fully cooked.
4. Take out of the oven and add any other toppings. Place back into the oven for 5-10 minutes depending on the topping choice or if you want the cheese to melt.

The next RESTART class is open for sign-ups‼️

💡True wisdom from a great nutritional pioneer in our times.

❓Why is it that we easily know the common names of pain relievers and pills and where to buy them in the store or plan to ask for them when seeing the doctor next?

❓Why is that more than how much we know the names of the NUTRIENTS we have accessible in the foods of which are living and growing straight from the earth we are also made of? Or someone might say "what are you taking for that headache or heartburn? Did you call the doctor? Instead of asking "what foods are you eating, what does your diet look like, how much sleep are you getting, or how much water did you drink today?"

💊In a day and age where we see illness and disease becoming the new "normal" and it is accepted, and even more "supported" by society, to look to the pills, medical procedures, or other quick remedies to resolve the nagging symptoms or diffuse the discomfort or pain.

💊Symptoms like constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating, fatigue, or nausea, are digestive disorders, commonly treated with pills and synthetic medicines, but they don’t take away the cause of the symptoms so even if you get relief, they come back again.

🌏Did you know our ancestors used the foods from the earth for the purpose of their nutrients and they didn't have the diseases that we see today? We have experienced a great disconnect with not only the earth but also our bodies and the innate intelligence it has to connect with the earth for nurturing and healing.

🌾There is so much medicine in food alone that we are all so blessed with. Hello friends, family, and followers ~ it’s been a while since I’ve been on social media or active here. I became one of the many individuals who felt the need to take a break after the pandemic hit. I certainly took that time to think about the things that I valued most and what was required to take good care of myself in order to continue living a healthy, happy life. One of my greatest passions has always been staying healthy and although I have been a Certified Nutritionist since 2011, I decided to go back to school so I could pursue a full-time career in nutrition for the first time. What I learned this time, was so much more than I ever imagined, and how much the world of nutrition has changed since then. Largely, I learned that even though I thought I was eating healthy, there were many things I was doing wrong but so many more things I could do right in order to optimize my health even more! I must say the times we are currently living in require a new paradigm of how we approach food and nutrition, and how to go about doing this, is exactly what I feel compelled to share with you all.

With this said, after my hiatus and an intense, educational journey (scholastically and personally), now as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I have officially launched “Blessed Nutrition” and I’m currently taking one-on-one clients and teaching group classes (virtually and in-person). I’ll be sharing about the things I’ve learned with you, like ways to improve your digestion, how to regulate your blood sugar, why you’re feeling fatigued and what you can do to sustain your energy, how to balance the minerals in your body, or find out if the supplements you are taking are not working or not and why, recipes, resources, and much, much more. I know, there is so much misunderstood information about nutrition and food these days and it can be difficult to navigate through the chaos of it all. I’m here to help you w**d through that chaos, and clear up the confusion around food and how you can take your health into your own hands to find self-sustaining ways to continue thriving in your life but most importantly, pay it forward and help others do the same.
