Learning how to use tape on your horse is the best way to regularly maintain their applications and get the most out of the tape.
It’s such an effective way to support their distal joints.
A paper titled “Effectiveness of Kinesiology Taping on Pain and Functional Performance in Acute Ankle Sprain: A Randomized Controlled Trial” included 60 participants in a study on ankle sprain recovery.
“Conclusion: Kinesiology taping, when combined with standard physiotherapy, significantly reduces pain and enhances functional performance in patients with acute lateral ankle sprain.”
Patients that were treated with tape reported HALF the amount of pain as patients that did not receive tape.
Horses can’t verbally report pain, but the principles of improved pain, proprioception, and healthy movement improvements are seen every single day with taped horses.
