Florence is ABSOLUTELY amazing. So much art. I think (if I remember correctly) the Palace of the Medici is bigger than Versailles. IT definitly has more art. 500 pieces, mirrors, chandeliers, and every inch is decorated/painted. It's overwhelming. Ufizi has so much art, I want to spend several days studying the masters of the Renaissance. 1 week in Florence is not enough. So I will be back.

Strolling in Paris. Great weather, art everywhere. But there are no French people in Paris between 12 and 4:00 PM. Advantage: everyone speaks English. Disadvantage: you can't ask for directions.... unless you want directions for Johannesburg, Dublin, Leipzig, or California.
