There is something that happens when women gather in circle.

We stop performing for a little while.

We put down the roles we carry—the mother, partner, daughter, caregiver, professional, problem solver, keeper of all the things—and simply arrive as ourselves.

Sometimes we talk.
Sometimes we move.
Sometimes we laugh until we cry.
Sometimes we just cry.
Sometimes we sit quietly and listen.

We remember that we don’t have to have it all figured out.

There is medicine in being witnessed without needing to be fixed.

There is healing in hearing another woman speak something you thought you were carrying alone.

There is power in ritual, movement, laughter, tears, stillness, and simply making space for one another.

Women have gathered this way for generations.

Part of what so many of us are craving isn’t another thing to do, we’re craving a place to be.

To gather.
To feel.
To remember.
To come back to ourselves.

This is why I keep creating circles. 💜

Dear friends,

I’ve been thinking about this old peach tree way more than is probably normal.

She’s about 30 years old and, from what I understand, was never really a focal point of the family who lived here. The kids were already grown when she was planted. There probably weren’t little kids climbing her, sitting underneath her reading, or grabbing a peach and eating it right there in the yard.

And for some reason, that makes me a little sad.

Her trunk is deeply wounded now. She’s an old peach tree and this year she has produced an absolutely ridiculous amount of peaches.

She just keeps responding to what is around her.

Sun. Rain. Wind. Earth. Seasons passing.

Maybe she doesn’t give a s**t that nobody sat underneath her reading a book. 😂 Maybe that’s entirely my human heart putting a story on an old tree.

But there is something about her quietly standing there all these years, taking in the elements and continuing to create, that I can’t stop thinking about.

Maybe especially right now.

We are in the midst of eclipse season, and there is so much language around these times about portals and transformation and releasing and becoming. I believe in all of that. I work with all of that.

But sometimes I think we can get so busy looking for the message that we forget to just live through the season we are actually in.

And summer is beginning to turn.

It’s not over. Not even close.

There are still hot afternoons. Bare feet. Gardens overflowing. Swimming. Tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. Peaches.

But you can feel the shift.

The light is changing. The nights are coming a little earlier. The earth is giving us what she’s been working on all summer.

So maybe our practice right now is simply to be with summer.

Eat outside. Get in the water. Walk barefoot in the grass. Pick something from the garden. Sit under a tree. Feel the sun on your skin. Notice the evening light.

And don’t make it mean anything.

No lesson to uncover. No transformation required. No eclipse-season homework.

Just be in your life.

Chop wood. Carry water. Eat the peach.

One last Moon Circle 🌕

On August 24, we’ll gather for the Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse and the closing of this eclipse season.

A place to gather, notice what has moved over these past weeks, let some things settle, and close the season together.

And after that, our circles are changing a little.

Moon Circles are becoming Star Circles ✨

I love gathering with the moon, and she isn’t going anywhere.

But I’ve also had to take another look at the rhythm I’ve created around these circles.

I spend a lot of time asking women to listen to themselves. To honor their bodies, their energy, the season they’re in. To stop pushing themselves into rhythms that no longer fit.

Turns out, I need to do that too.

The moon follows her own cycle—not a convenient every-other-week schedule—and trying to honor every new and full moon while also honoring my work, my family, my own practice and just…life…was starting to feel a little contradictory to everything I’m always telling you.

So I’m listening.

Beginning in September, Star Circles will give us a little more room to breathe.

We may gather with a new moon or a full moon. We may gather around an eclipse, an equinox or solstice, another astrological event, an earth holiday—or simply because something in the season feels worth gathering around.

We’ll still journey. We’ll still work with the elements. We’ll still sit together, share, release, remember, laugh, probably cry sometimes, and make space for whatever is real.

The rhythm may change.

The heart of the circle won’t.

And it feels pretty perfect that our first one lands at a threshold.

September 19 - Wholebody with Kerri at Wild Root Wellness

September 21 — Star Circle: Autumn Equinox

We’ll gather to honor the equinox, the turning toward fall, the balance of light and dark, and our own place in the changing season.

Also coming in September…

September 20 — Rooted Through Change

Our next (peri)menopause gathering.

This transition can be physical, emotional, energetic and, quite frankly, confusing as hell.

Rooted Through Change creates space for all of it—some science, some movement, the chakras, the elements, ceremony, conversation and remembering ourselves underneath all the roles we’ve collected along the way.

September 30 — Clothing Exchange

Bring up to 10 pieces you’re ready to pass along and see what finds its way back home with you.

Clothes moving through community instead of being thrown away, women gathering, and probably trying on some things we never would have picked for ourselves.

Something else is taking root…

Rooted Through Change is growing.

I’m beginning to create an 8-week journey through (peri)menopause and the chakras—a chance to slow this work down and spend time with each energy center while weaving together the science of this transition with movement, the elements, reflection, circle and all the other pieces that can help us find our way back into ourselves.

This one is still taking shape.

More soon. 💜

And in between the gatherings…

I’m available for private sessions at Wild Root Wellness.

Energy work. Yoga. Coaching.

Or, honestly, sometimes a combination of them. We can meet you where you are and work from there.

And I’m going to put my rig back up.

I’m still not teaching traditional aerial classes right now—but for private sessions and because I miss having the swing available.

Sometimes we need grounding.

And sometimes we need to get our feet off the ground, be held for a minute, move differently and play.

There’s room for both.

So for these last weeks of summer, maybe we don’t need to rush toward what’s next.

The eclipse can eclipse. The earth can turn. The peach tree can make peaches.

And we can be here for it.

Chop wood. Carry water. Eat the peach.

With love,Monica
