USCCA + ABR Academy course at 5.11 Tactical Fayetteville instructed by yours truly.✨

Class was held on Thursday August 13, 2026. Grant and I were thankful to the thirteen students that were in attendance.✨

Class Topic: Disaster Readiness: How to Prepare, Respond and Protect Your Family.

We are currently in the middle of Hurricane season which doesn’t end until November 30th. However, being prepared for any unexpected disaster is critical to everyone’s survival/safety.

Here are a few things to consider to ensure that you are prepared for any unforeseen disaster:

- Develop an effective Evacuation Plan in the event you need to evacuate your home. Conduct periodic drills to ensure each family member knows how to respond to a disaster.

- Ensure that you have perishable foods, water, light source, medical bag/first aid kit, prescription medications (check the expiration dates), solar charging devices, cash, 🔫, extra fuel, place important documents in waterproof bags, just to name a few.

- Situational Awareness (Keep your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings at all times). Social Unrest will kick in and unfortunately some people will use blackouts (loss of power) to commit crimes.

The question isn’t IF a Disaster will occur, but WHEN will it occur. When it does are you truly prepared? If not, I challenge you to get prepared for the unexpected. Your loved ones will thank you later.✨

Our class consisted of 4 OUTSTANDING students that brought their personal experiences to the training!🙌🏾

Yesterday’s class was mostly instructed by Tré & Braylon of 3K Tactical. Yours truly, Co-Instructed on their class being that I am a NC DOJ Certified CCH Instructor.✨

Each CCH class brings a different perspective. Unfortunately, two of the students had previously been robbed at gun point. Thankfully neither of them were seriously injured. However, they both shared that situational awareness could’ve prevented the encounter. Stay out of Condition White, meaning you are totally unaware of your surroundings. These smartphones can be blessings and a curse.✨

Having a firearm is one thing, knowing when/where to use it is another, know how to present and draw your firearm from your concealed carry position and know how to shoot accurately. Every missed shot can hit an innocent person, pet, or property.✨

If you don’t know how to do any of those things, I’d highly suggest that you seek professional fi****ms training.✨

Since July 28, 2022 I’ve been knowing Dr. Joy Allen founder of InHerPiece, which consists of all women who believe in the Second Amendment and the empowerment of women protecting themselves.✨

From the moment we’ve met, Dr. Joy Allen has been consistently kind, helpful, honest, supportive and a true Sister in this 2A Space. I may not make every meeting since they are all held in Raleigh now.🤭

However, if I can travel to shoot all over the country, I can most certainly make time to support a Phenomenal Woman!🫡🖤💛

I sincerely appreciate You and everything that you do to ensure the safety of women.💖

Oh, What a NIGHT! 🔥

More than 20 incredible women joined us for Try Before You Buy: A Firearm Discovery Event, where the goal wasn't just to shoot fi****ms... it was to discover the RIGHT firearm.

The evening kicked off with a conversation about choosing a handgun that truly fits your purpose, your lifestyle, and your hands. Then it was time for the fun to begin.

Participants rotated through seven different handgun platforms, comparing everything from full-size striker-fired pistols to compacts, sub-compacts, revolvers, 1911s, and more. They felt the differences, managed the recoil, compared notes, asked questions, and learned firsthand that the "best" handgun is the one that works best for YOU.

By the end of the evening, these ladies walked away with confidence, clarity, and a much better idea of what they'll purchase when the time comes. That's exactly what this event was all about.

A huge THANK YOU to every woman who came out ready to learn, and to our amazing partners at Eagle 1 Shooting Range for continuing to invest in our community and help make events like this possible.

The fun doesn't end there. 💜 Our regular InHER Piece meetings resume next month. Join us on Sunday, August 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Eagle 1 Shooting Range as we continue building confident, capable, and empowered women through education, training, and community. Our class consisted of 4 HIGHLY motivated students that arrived eager to learn, which made our class run extremely smooth.🙌🏾

Each class brings a different perspective as gun laws change and unfortunately more gun violence incidents occur daily. We’ve discussed the fact that having a CCH permit actually holds you to a higher standard because you’re expected to be both Knowledgeable and Competent with your firearm. Carrying a handgun is one thing, knowing how to make a decision on how to handle a situation is another. Every situation doesn’t require the use of a firearm. However, some situations do and that is why you stay prepared for any situation that may arise.💯
