Are you on a wellness journey but find things get sidelined when vacation time rolls around?
Then you struggle to get back on track afterward?
What if there was a way to stay on track and still fully enjoy your vacation?
I just got back from a twoโweek road trip (with my two dogs in tow) and stayed aligned with my health goals โ without feeling restricted.
Hereโs how I did it:
I brought a small cooler with plain Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, raw veggies, fruit, nuts, and seeds. Easy to eat while driving, satisfying, and no dependence on random food stops.
About 8 hours in the car each day for 3 days (each way), so I used muscle contractions, parked farther from facilities, and walked every time we stopped (dogs helped with that too).
Filtered water when possible (packed my own), added minerals, and chose waterโrich foods like fruits and veggies.
At my destination, I chose baked or broiled options, lots of veggies, and skipped dessert one time we ate out. My planned big treat was ice cream โ I ate protein first, enjoyed it, then took a walk.
๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐๐น๐: two weeks on the road, no weight gain, and I still had fun with family and friends.
