Sometimes the most incredible acts of kindness happen quietly, behind the scenes.

When we found ourselves urgently searching for donor breastmilk for babies in need, CNY Doula immediately stepped in. Without hesitation, they reached out to their network, coordinated donations, picked up the milk, and personally delivered it to our Centre.

This is what a village looks like.

We are so grateful for community partners like CNY Doula who show up when families need support most—not for recognition, praise, or credit, but simply because they care.

To the donors, advocates, and helpers who work quietly in the background to nourish and support our youngest community members: thank you. Your generosity makes a difference in ways words cannot fully express.

We are honored to be surrounded by people who remind us that no family should have to do this alone. ❤️

Korey brought in her baby after needing to wait for months to get seen (at another doctor’s office) for her baby’s daily diarrhea - nothing was getting resolved.

Dr. Ismail figured out the issue very quickly and the struggle came to an end.

✨ Staff Spotlight: The Heart of Our Centre ✨ Renee Callahan, Practise Manager, Fairy Godmother & Magician

Today, I want to shine a light on someone who is much more than a colleague—she is a dear friend, a trusted confidant, and truly the backbone of the Alexandre Centre for Children's Health. Renee Callahan.

Through life's ups and downs, including some of my most difficult personal and legal challenges, she has stood by my side with unwavering loyalty, strength, and compassion.

Every family who walks through our doors is greeted by her kindness and genuine care. She pays attention to the details that others might miss and ensures that every child and parent feels seen, heard, and supported.

Parents rely on her for so much, and she never takes that responsibility lightly. She celebrates victories, shares in struggles, cries with mothers during difficult moments, holds babies when tired arms need a break, and spends countless hours listening to families as they navigate the challenges of raising children with complex needs.

Her compassion cannot be taught. Her dedication cannot be measured. Her impact reaches far beyond appointments, phone calls, and paperwork. She helps create the safe, welcoming community that makes our Centre feel like home.

We are incredibly grateful for all that she does and for the love she pours into every family she serves. The Alexandre Centre is stronger because of her, and so are all of us who have the privilege of working alongside her.
