Before you buy iron supplements, you should test first — high and low iron can easily overlap with the same symptoms! 🚨 Check out my other reel for exactly what I recommend testing so you know for sure which one you’re dealing with. Don’t guess with your health! 💉🩸

Did you know that high iron and low iron can create many of the same symptoms?

That’s why one iron marker rarely tells the full story. If you’re having your iron levels checked, ask for the complete picture:
- Serum Iron
- TIBC
- Transferrin Saturation
- Ferritin
The more information you have, the better you can understand what’s actually going on. Don’t settle for incomplete labs when it comes to your health. Always ask for the full picture!

If you’ve been told your severe PMS is normal, I need you to hear this.

For years, women have been told that debilitating cramps, extreme fatigue, mood swings, and feeling miserable every month are simply part of being a woman. While these symptoms may be common, they are not normal, and your body may be trying to tell you something.

Welcome to Episode 11 of my signature series: ❣️What Women Were Never Told
This episode is all about why your PMS may be worse than it should be, and the connection between your hormones and gut health.

Serving clients nationwide! Okay, not quite yet 🙈 but maybe one day!

I am, however, officially licensed in South Dakota now, which means I can currently see patients in North Dakota, Minnesota, AND South Dakota!

If you’re looking for someone who actually listens to you, takes the time to understand your story, and focuses on getting to the root cause instead of just putting a bandaid on symptoms, I’d love to help.

Whether you’re struggling with gut issues, hormone imbalance, perimenopause/menopause symptoms, sleep issues, inflammation, or feeling unlike yourself, my practice, Dragonfly Health & Wellness, is built to support women in a more personalized and integrative way.

Reach out anytime! DM me, visit my website, or comment below and let’s chat.

(P.S. If your state isn’t listed yet, comment it below… maybe it’ll be next on my licensing list!)

Thank you(!!!) for finally acknowledging what women have been dealing with for decades.

Because moving from PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome) to PMOS (Polycystic Metabolic Overdrive Syndrome) isn’t simply a name change. It’s an acknowledgment that this condition is so much more than a gynecological issue. It’s more than irregular periods, fertility struggles, acne, or unwanted hair growth.

For too long, women have only received attention when they wanted to get pregnant, while the metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and long-term health impacts were overlooked.
But diagnoses and words matter, and this shift is the necessary step toward helping women receive earlier intervention, better support, and lifelong improvements in their health.

What are your thoughts on the PCOS to PMOS name change? Ever wondered if this could be you?

What Women Were Never Told | Scared of Hormones?

The 2002 Women’s Health Initiative study changed everything — and not in a good way. Women were pulled off hormones overnight. Doctors stopped prescribing. And we’ve been living with the fallout ever since.

Here’s what the headlines missed:

🚫 They used oral estrogen — which builds up in the body and is harder to detox than transdermal forms.

🚫 They used progestin — a synthetic that behaves nothing like your body’s natural progesterone.

✅ As of November 2025, the FDA officially removed the black box warning linking HRT to breast cancer.

The women who went without? They faced higher rates of:
💔 Alzheimer’s
💔 Osteoporosis & fractures
💔 Heart disease
💔 Injuries
💔 Devastating loss of quality of life

After 13 years of prescribing hormone therapy, my patients’ cancer risk was lower than the general population.

You deserved to know this sooner.

Save this. Share it with every woman who was told hormones were dangerous.

Skinny does not equal healthy.

This under-fueling trend is not something I’ll ever get behind, and it’s definitely not something I’ll stay quiet about. Eating less, skipping meals, and constantly chasing a smaller body may seem appealing in the short term, but it often comes at the expense of your hormones, metabolism, muscle mass, energy, and long-term health.

We only have one body. Let’s take care of it. Strong, fueled, and healthy > Skinny!!

Welcome to Episode 10 of my signature series: ❣️What Women Were Never Told
This episode is all about the harm of the under-fueling trend.

Would you believe me if I said I helped a woman heal her hot flashes in just 7 days?

Sometimes, the biggest breakthrough comes from identifying the triggers instead of just masking the symptoms. Hormones, stress, alcohol, inflammation, even environmental factors can all play a role, and when we start connecting the dots, the body can respond quickly.

This is exactly why I focus on root causes and individualized care instead of one-size-fits-all solutions.

If you’re struggling with hot flashes, hormone symptoms, or feeling unlike yourself, I’d love to help you figure out what your body is trying to tell you. DM me or use the link in my bio to set up a consultation 🤍

One of the biggest reasons I care so deeply about women’s health is because I know what it feels like to not feel like yourself while still trying to show up for everyone else.

As a mom, I understand how hard it is to pour into your family when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, inflamed, or constantly worried about your health. You want the energy to play with your kids, be present with your family, and actually enjoy your life instead of just getting through the day.

That’s why I’m so passionate about this work. Not just because I’m a nurse practitioner, but because I truly understand these women and what they’re carrying every day. I’m constantly working on becoming the healthiest and best version of myself too, not only for me, but for my family. You deserve to feel good!!
