Congratulations to Christa Merrifield-Floyd on being elected Secretary of the Covington County Association of Realtors for 2027!

Christa has been a member of the Association since 2005, when she obtained her Alabama real estate license. We’re proud to celebrate her continued commitment to serving our local real estate community.

Pictured with Christa is Katie Fuller of Southern Point Properties, the newly elected President of the Association for 2027.

Please join all of us at Merrifield & Pilcher Realty in congratulating both of these ladies! We wish them a successful year as they step into their leadership roles.

Some losses leave us searching for words that will never feel like enough. Our community is grieving Parker Gilley, an incredible young man whose life was far too short and whose memory we will hold close. 🖤

On Friday, October 9, Florala High School students and staff will wear black in Parker’s honor. We invite our entire community to join them lto remember Parker and surround his family with love during this heartbreaking time.

Parker loved to fish. May the stillness of the water and every quiet moment beside it bring gentle reminders of him to those who loved him.

We cannot take away his family’s pain, but we can stand beside them. Wear black, hold them in your prayers, and continue showing up with kindness in the days ahead. Let them feel that Parker is remembered, that his life mattered, and that they do not have to carry their grief alone.

In loving memory of Parker Gilley
