How'd you spend your Sunday morning?
Mine was spent with the boys and a few friends tackling a 3-mile jog and the Pine Mountain stairs.
I feel like Sundays are the perfect day to reset and set your intentions for the week ahead.
A couple thoughts crossed my mind while I was climbing those stairs:
Having the kids with me matters. It's important for them to see adults doing the hard, healthy things—even when they're not easy.
Was I the fastest? Nope.
Did I finish without complaining? Yep.
I see so many people online talking about how tired, unhealthy, overweight, or unwell they feel. I've been there too. But at some point, we have to ask ourselves: What am I doing to change it?
Almost two years ago, I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded.
I've been there.
You can change.
Your mindset can change.
Your habits can change.
Your health can change.
I know not every situation is the same, and not every challenge can be fixed. But for me, I refuse to look back one day and say I didn't try to live the healthiest, fullest life I could.
The reality is that none of us know how much time we have. Healthy or unhealthy, salad or cheeseburger, water or wine—we all get one shot at this life.
So take the trip.
Climb the stairs.
Play with your kids.
Try the new thing.
Take care of yourself.
And live it as fully as you can. ❤️
