❤️ Relationship Realities

Biblical submission has been misunderstood for far too long.

Submission isn’t about being weak.

It’s not about losing your voice.

It’s not about being controlled.

It’s about trusting and supporting a husband who is first submitted to Christ.

And husbands…

Scripture doesn’t just call you to lead.

It calls you to love your wife the way Christ loved the church.

That means serving.

Sacrificing.

Protecting.

Listening.

Honoring.

Leading with humility instead of control.

Marriage was never designed to be a power struggle.

It was designed to be a partnership where two people willingly serve one another while following Christ together.

When a husband leads with Christlike love…

And a wife responds with trust and respect…

Neither person loses.

Both people flourish.

📖 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” — Ephesians 5:25

Be honest…

Are you trying to win in your marriage…

Or are you helping each other become more like Christ?

We’re not here to impress people.

We’re here to help people heal.

🌿 Sunday Reflection

Before tomorrow begins…

Take five minutes tonight and ask yourself:

• Where did I see God this week?

• What did He teach me?

• Where did I ignore His voice?

• What do I need to surrender before Monday?

Don’t carry last week’s worries into a week God hasn’t asked you to live yet.

Start the new week with a surrendered heart instead of a crowded mind.

Sometimes the greatest preparation isn’t making another to-do list.

It’s making room for God.

Heal. Grow. Become.

🙏 Purposd Prayer

Father,

I’m tired of pretending I’m okay.

I’ve smiled in conversations while carrying battles no one knew I was fighting.

I’ve told people, “I’m fine,”

when my heart has been quietly asking for help.

Sometimes I don’t even know what I’m feeling anymore.

I’ve gotten so used to surviving that I don’t know how to simply rest.

I’ve tried to fix myself.

I’ve tried to stay busy so I wouldn’t have to think.

I’ve tried to be strong because I didn’t want anyone to see where I was breaking.

But You already see it.

You know the disappointments I never talked about.

The prayers I’ve almost stopped praying.

The tears that never made it past my eyes.

The weight I’ve been carrying that I was never meant to carry alone.

Tonight, I’m not asking You to make life easy.

I’m asking You to meet me here.

Heal the places I’ve learned to hide.

Quiet the lies that tell me I have to hold everything together.

Teach me that surrender isn’t giving up…

it’s finally placing my life into hands that have never failed me.

As I lay down to sleep, help me lay down the burdens too.

Because tomorrow will be lighter if I don’t carry today into it.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Cravings don’t mean you’ve failed.

They mean you’re fighting.

Recovery isn’t about never being tempted.

It’s about choosing, one moment at a time, not to let temptation make your decisions.

When the craving comes…

Pause.

Pray.

Call someone.

Take a walk.

Open your Bible.

Remember why you started.

A craving is temporary.

The freedom you’re fighting for is worth it.

🔍 Why You Feel This Way

Why do I overthink everything?

You tell yourself you’re being careful.

But what if you’re actually trying to control outcomes because you’ve been hurt before?

Overthinking often develops when trust has been broken.

Your mind keeps running scenarios because it believes:

“If I think about it long enough, I can prevent pain.”

But peace isn’t found in certainty.

Peace is found in trust.

📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

🌱 Healing begins when you stop trying to predict every outcome and start trusting God with what you cannot control.
