We always come back to nature 🏔️

No matter how far we drift into schedules, screens, noise, and distractions, something in us remembers.

We aren’t meant to be perfectly comfortable all the time.
We aren’t meant to be constantly productive or in control.
We are meant to feel deeply. To adapt. To rest. To listen.

Nature doesn’t try to be convenient. She is both rugged and gentle, chaotic and calming, all at once. And maybe that’s why we need her…bc she reflects the truth of who we are.

Even in the middle of a restless night, with the wind howling and sleep just out of reach, I could feel it…that quiet pull. That I am part of this, not separate from it.

Watching my daughter experience it all with her curiosity and presence reminded me of something even more important…THIS is where resilience is born. Not in perfect conditions, but in real ones.

We come back to nature because it brings us back to ourselves. And every time we return, we leave a little more aligned than when we arrived 🏕️💫

Motherhood truly is the wildest human experience 🎢 You are stretched, pulled, stepped on, crawled on, spit on, coughed on, pooped & peed on, and cried on multiple times a day.

But on the flip side, you get cuddles, hugs, big belly laughs, sweet kisses, tiny hands reaching for yours, and the kind of unconditional love that makes every hard moment worth it.

Then, out of no where, a crawl turns into walking and one word sentences turn into long silly stories about “The Backson”. Iykyk 😂 And all of those sleepless nights will one day turn into little feet running into your room.

You will lose yourself and then find yourself again 💫 You will feel weak at times and then feel like a warrior during others. The range of emotions you can feel in one day are vast and ever evolving, but by the end you feel this overwhelming sense of accomplishment. And rightfully so! This is the hardest job on the planet.

My favorite thing though, has been hearing her say, “You’re my best friend mommy. I love you.” 😭 And then all of my worries, fears, and mom guilt fade into the background bc in that moment, I know I’m doing something right.

So shoutout to all you present, strong, and heart centered mamas out there. You’re the real MVPs and you’re doing better than you think ✊🏽🩷

To : Thank you for being the best father, husband, and friend a gal could ask for. You work so hard to give us this life that we have out here. I’m forever grateful for you 🙏🏽 I’m so excited to make more memories with you and Melody in the great outdoors. Showing her all the beauty that life has to offer has been so special. Watching her see the world through curious little eyes reminds me to slow down, breathe it all in, and truly appreciate these moments we’re living ✨

May we keep choosing adventure, laughter, and love, again and again. I love you to the moon & beyond ❤️🌓💫

If you’ve ever dealt with IT band, piriformis, or sciatica pain, you know how quickly they can stop you in your tracks 😖

My flare-ups usually come from long periods of sitting (computer work & road trips), plus breastfeeding & pregnancy. Over time, I’ve found the most relief from a mix of load-bearing/resistance exercises + yoga/breathwork.

⚠️ If you have persistent, radiating pain that doesn’t improve, please get it checked. There could be something deeper going on.

Ok, so here are my go-to exercises:

1. Lateral Step Down – Bend one leg on a step, tap opposite heel down while flexing the whole leg. 10 reps x 3 each side

2. Standing Fire Hydrant – Lift bent leg out to the side (add band if you want), close it back in. 10 reps x 2 each side

3. Side-Lying Hip Abduction – Flex & stack feet, lift top leg slightly back + up in a diagonal direction. 10 reps x 2 each side

4. Crossover Stretch – Cross one leg over body with option to use a strap. Hold 20+ sec each side

5. Figure 4 / Reclined Pigeon – Hold for at least 1 min each side

6. Windshield Wipers – Knees rock side to side. 10–30 sec

7. Deep Belly Breathing – Inhale deeply through your nose, expand your lungs, then exhale completely, emptying all the air. 1–3 min

✨ Affirmation on repeat: “My entire body is safe, healthy, and whole.”

Remember, the more consistent you are with any practice, the more relief you’ll feel 💜

I’ve been turning my phone completely off during certain times of the day, and let me tell you…it’s been so freeing. Reminds me of what life was like in the 90’s. Ahh to be transported back there again ☎️🛼💫

There are literally days where I can’t reply to another group chat message and then days where I am on fire with keeping up with everyone. I think it all correlates to the phases of my cycle too.

Anywho, I just wanted to remind you that if you ever feel over stimulated, on edge, anxious, or in your feels staring at this thing 🤳 Do yourself a favor and just turn your phone off for a while. It is quite literally the biggest weight off your shoulders and the most wonderful exhale ever 😮‍💨

It’s my husband’s birthday this Thursday and then our favorite local music fest is this weekend so it’s about to get real busy, but I am SO here for it! Can’t wait to show Melody more of our incredible music scene 🎶 This girl has no choice but to live up to her name haha
