Your hormones are not a beauty treatment.

I've spent 22 years in women's health, and I'm seeing something that worries me: hormone therapy being sold between the Botox and the lip filler.

Pellets on a punch card. "One protocol fits all." Testosterone handed out with little more than a quick intake form and no real follow-up.

Here's the truth. Hormone care is medicine. It affects your heart, bones, breasts, uterus, brain, mood, sleep, and metabolism. Done well, it can be life-changing. Done carelessly, it can cause real harm.

Good hormone care looks like:

🌿 A full medical history, including your personal and family risks

🧪 Thoughtful labs, interpreted alongside your symptoms rather than in place of them

🎯 A plan built for your body and stage of life, not a package deal

📊 Ongoing monitoring and adjustments, because perimenopause and menopause don't stand still

🌱 Attention to the whole picture: nutrition, metabolism, sleep, stress, and strength

🩺 A provider who can say "this isn't right for you" when it isn't

You deserve someone who knows you, follows you over time, and treats your hormones with the seriousness they require.

Midlife isn't a cosmetic problem to fix. It's a season of life that deserves real medical care.

If you've felt rushed, unheard, or like a number in someone's sales funnel, I'd love to talk. 📅 Book a free Discovery Call at wildflowerhormones.com.

Let’s talk about the glass of w**e. 🍷

It’s marketed as self-care, a reward after a long day, or “mommy juice.” But alcohol is a known cause of breast cancer.

The WHO classifies alcohol as a Group 1 carcinogen, alongside to***co and asbestos. In January 2025, the U.S. Surgeon General called for cancer warning labels on alcoholic beverages, highlighting breast cancer risk.

📊 What the research shows

Studies consistently link alcohol consumption to increased breast cancer risk.

Compared with not drinking:
➡️ 1 drink/day: about 10% higher risk
➡️ 2 drinks/day: about 18% higher risk
➡️ 3 drinks/day: about 22% higher risk

Even low levels of alcohol consumption can increase risk. No level is entirely risk-free when it comes to cancer.

🔬 Why does it happen?

🧪 Alcohol breaks down into acetaldehyde, which can damage DNA.
🌡️ It can increase estrogen levels, potentially promoting hormone-sensitive breast cancers.
🍷 W**e, b**r, or spirits—the alcohol itself is the concern.

🌸 Why this matters in midlife

Many women turn to w**e to cope with sleep problems, anxiety, and stress during perimenopause and menopause. But alcohol can worsen sleep quality and other symptoms, while adding to breast cancer risk.

💛 The good news

Alcohol consumption is a modifiable risk factor. You don’t have to be perfect. Reducing your intake can help lower your risk.

Try alcohol-free weeknights, a mocktail in your favorite glass, or a 30-day reset to see how your sleep and mood respond. 🌿

Your health is worth more than a nightly pour.

Science says the unhappiest age on Earth is about 47. 🤯

That's right in the middle of perimenopause. Hormones swinging, sleep disrupted, everyone needing something from you. That's a lot to carry, and it isn't a personal failing.

Here's the part nobody tells you: the curve goes back UP. Women in their 60s and 70s report some of the highest life satisfaction of any age. 🌸

You're not at the end of your story. You're at the bend.

Don't buy your supplements from Amazon. Here's why.

A 2022 study tested 30 immune supplements sold on Amazon — nearly HALF had inaccurate labels. Some were missing ingredients they claimed to have. Others had undisclosed extras added in.

And an FDA review found 50+ supplements on Amazon contained hidden drugs — including prescription meds — nowhere on the label. 😳

Your hormones deserve better than a mystery pill from a third-party seller.

At Wildflower Hormones, every product we recommend is vetted for purity, accurate dosing, and third-party testing. Because "natural" should also mean trustworthy. 🌸

Your hormones are swinging. Your trail shoes can help you ride it out. 🥾

In perimenopause, estrogen and progesterone don't decline smoothly. They swing. Hiking won't stop the swings, but it can change how your body handles them.

🌲 Stress recovery: Even 20 to 30 minutes in a natural setting has been linked to lower cortisol in the short term.

😴 Sleep and mood: Regular exercise programs have been shown to improve perimenopausal symptoms like insomnia and irritability.

💪 Muscle and metabolism: Perimenopause is when lean mass starts to slip. Hills and a backpack are strength training in disguise.

☀️ Daylight: Getting outside gives your body cues that help anchor your sleep-wake rhythm.

You don't need a summit. A 30-minute walk on a trail counts.
