Hey Hey Hey Down Home Honey Peeps! This message is a little long but please see our hearts. Yesterday's event is very special to us as it marks the very beginning of our sweet little honey business. I was so concerned all week as we all were because of the impending storm. Storms seem to put everyone on edge. But we have so much to be thankful for and pray for those who were in its path. So please hear our hearts as you read this....
Yesterday was a wonderful day at Polk State College Fall Festival, even though it started out pretty rough. I had a meltdown that morning worrying about the heat and humidity and rain and our product getting wet or too hot, you know, all the stuff. I was pleasantly surprised when we got there with a cool breeze to only be met with panic when our tent broke!! But just at that moment, a sweet and calm Nancy Lozell the festival coordinator, just so happened to walk by and graciously said, "no problem, you can set up right there". Right there was under cover and only a few feet from where we were standing!!! That was an "Only God" moment for us!! Change can sometimes be a little chaotic even for a little vendor like us. But we made our adjustments, and then I excused myself to the ladies room, pulled myself together and did some box breathing.(Great stuff) I pulled back my little grey fuzzy hair the best I could, and walked out with a new perspective ready to enjoy this awesome event we look forward to all year.
There was a wonderful breeze that kept us from getting too hot and the rain held off until it was almost time to go, and stopped just long enough for us to pack up. If you are a vendor you know what a blessing that is.
It was great seeing friends from high school and even running into one of my favorite teachers from Denison Middle School, Mr. Stewart and his precious wife. There's just something about doing events in the town you grew up in. It's like a "down home" feeling.ππ
We are thankful for our returning honey loving folks who were excited to see us. One in particular who purchased our Hot Honey last year and has since then, been purchasing all year. We have shared her story so many times because of why she has purchased so much of it. She says it helps her with joint pain!! Our Hot Honey, unlike others, consists of Cayenne, red pepper flakes and organic apple c***r vinegar, and we use our fall Wildflower honey, which very well could have brazilian pepper, some golden rod and spanish needle pollens. With social media, we are all seeing more and more ways people are turning back to more natural ingredients for our health and this is one of them. We had no clue when we made it that it actually had crazy health benefits, we just thought it tasted really good. Selling honey has definitely made me become so much more aware of all the health benefits found in this amazing, God created liquid gold. What a gift and a blessing it is and may we NEVER take it for granted.π―ππΌ Y'all do some research. Look up ways to use honey for health benefits. It's not just a sweetener. It's so much more!!!
We are also so thankful for new friends and are excited to see you be a part of our honey family. We felt so loved and are so very thankful for each and every one of you.
And to that precious precious family who recently had a cancer diagnosis, you are in our thoughts and prayers. I ask our honey family to please pray for this young family. His name is John and he will be starting chemo this week. Please pray for him, his beautiful wife and their three young daughters. They asked me if I had a honey that helped fight cancer!! π I sure wish I did, I would have anyone fighting illnesses bathe in itβ€οΈβπ©Ή. We may not be able to cure cancer, but we know someone who can, and we will lift sweet John to our loving Father who is our Healer. ππΌ And John if you are seeing this, know you and your family are deeply loved. ππΌβ€οΈβπ©Ή
We just want to say thank you, Nancy Lozell and Polk State College. You are the event we look most forward to as it marks this incredible journey we are on! We have been so blessed to be a part of it. ππ―π
And THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to ALL of you who have purchased our honey, who share your stories, who have taught us and been a part of our journey. YOU ALL are the reason we do this and YOU are the blessings we never knew we needed. Let's start year 4 praying and praising for another great year AND please pray for the HONEY BEES π and all the wonderful BEEKEEPERS!
