Most skin tightening devices guess at depth. Sofwave doesn’t.

It uses ultrasound to deliver energy at exactly 1.5mm — right where collagen lives — and nowhere else. No surface damage. No fat disruption. Just your skin rebuilding from the inside out.

And if you’re in perimenopause or menopause? This is especially for you. Estrogen loss accelerates collagen breakdown — it’s one of the reasons skin changes so dramatically during this transition. Sofwave works with your biology to rebuild what hormonal shifts take away.

Real collagen remodeling. Not just surface-level results.

Had some really meaningful conversations with patients this week.

The conversations this week kept coming back to perimenopause and menopause and how differently each woman experiences it.

That’s exactly why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to hormone wellness.

The approach I take is layering. Starting with the basics usually one or two foundational medications and paying attention. How is your body responding? What side effects are showing up? What’s improving? Then we build from there, adding to the plan intentionally once we know how you’re tolerating what’s already in place.

It’s slower than handing someone a prescription and sending them on their way. But it’s so much more thoughtful. And the outcomes reflect that.

Perimenopause and menopause are not a problem to fix with a single solution. They’re a transition that deserves a provider who’s actually paying attention to you specifically.

That part of this work never gets old.

Your skincare isn’t failing. Your hormones are.

As a menopause specialist, this is one of the first things I talk about with my patients because nobody else is connecting these dots for them.

Skin is a major estrogen target organ. When estrogen declines in perimenopause and menopause, the effects are real and measurable. 30% of skin collagen lost in the first 5 postmenopausal years. Increased dryness, thinning, wrinkling, fragility, slower healing.

This isn’t your routine failing you. This is a hormonal shift that deserves a hormonal conversation.

Skincare, professional treatments, and hormone therapy all have a role but the most important step is understanding what’s actually driving the change in the first place.

The data is not subtle.

The SWAN study showed that the majority of bone loss in a woman’s lifetime happens in roughly a 3-year window around the final menstrual period and the Women’s Health Initiative confirmed that hormone therapy reduces fracture risk by 28–34%.

Most women are never told this during perimenopause.

That’s the gap I’m here to close.

If you have questions about bone health, hormone therapy, or what your care should actually look like during this transition - this is the place.

Let that sink in. 📉

Up to 30% of your collagen — gone in the first five years after menopause. And once it’s lost, you cannot simply build back to where you started.

That’s why I tell my patients: if you’re a candidate for hormone therapy (and most women are), that’s your foundation. HRT helps preserve what you have. But it doesn’t rebuild what’s already gone. And the sooner you start, the better off you will be.

That’s where comes in. It’s one of the most powerful tools we have for actually stimulating new collagen not just maintaining it, but actively signaling your skin to produce more.

Protecting your skin in perimenopause and postmenopause isn’t vanity. It’s medicine.
