This morning, we made smoothie bowls, and my babies absolutely loved them. Watching them enjoy something colorful, nourishing, and made with intention reminded me of something important: I feel my best when I’m actively participating in my family’s wellness journey.
For a while, life looked different. My children were eating breakfast and lunch at school, and pregnancy took a tremendous toll on my energy and capacity. I did what I needed to do to survive that season. But now, I have the desire and ability to return to what feels aligned for us.
As a mother of a child with Sickle Cell Anemia, nutrition isn't just a trendy topic in our home. It's part of his quality of life. It's one of the many ways I can support his body and help him thrive.
So we're getting back to balanced meals. More fruits. More vegetables. More protein. More intentional nourishment.
No more cereal. No more breakfast battles. No more settling for convenience when I have the capacity to choose differently.
Just practical wellness.Just daily habits.Just a mama doing her best to introduce health, wealth, and wellness to her children in ways they can carry with them for a lifetime.
Because they deserve more than survival.
They deserve to thrive.
