Christian Hypnobirthing has been such a great resource that many moms have really loved! 💗

Right now is a great time to invest in a subscription if you are nearing your due date. Listening to them earlier on during pregnancy can help with relaxation, birth preparation, and easing any nervousness about your upcoming birth. Listening during labor can help you and your husband zone into how your body is making changes and feeling confident in progress. It can also help your care providers respect your space more.

If you're unsure about a subscription, check out a few of their free resources available on YouTube.

Comment “EASTER” and I’ll send you the link 🤍

We want every mama to be able to access support for a calm, faith-filled birth — no matter her financial situation.

The Faith-Filled Childbirth course is usually $37/month, but for Easter, you can choose what you’re able to pay:
* $5/month — for those experiencing significant financial hardship (e.g. job loss or family crisis)
* $10/month — for those feeling financial pressure due to the current economic climate
* $20/month — a discounted rate, while helping support other women who need a lower price

If you’re able, you’re also welcome to pay the full $37/month, which helps us continue supporting more families 🤍

Whether you pay $5 or $37, you are equally welcomed and supported.

We pray this blesses families who need encouragement most right now 🌿

✨ Comment EASTER and we’ll send you the details.

Some thoughts after a birth that challenged us all...

Driving home from a birth as an assistant, but also like a doula because this mom had a long 30 hr journey to motherhood which needed some extra encouragement, alignment help, physical touch & massage. ❤️

Always a little happy dance when I near my group of trees after being up all night after a birth. If I look frazzled and tired, its because I was, and probably hanging on by a few brain cells at that point lol. 😴

I always value being a birth assistant, thankful for the learning opportunities it provides into my growing birthwork experience. And as a doula, providing care and support to clients who become like friends. Some births are straight-forward, quick, and complication-free which make me question if I was of any help. And other births that take the long-way route, testing us all, needing some immediate help, which then make me question if I did everything right & how I could have done better.

Some births I've cried with joy, others I've cried with sadness or relief and deep breaths to reset my nervous system. I know I have yet to experience many many heartbreaking situations while still having experienced some really big ones so far.

Sometimes I think about what someone once said to me as I shared a bit of birth-work-life, "Why add all that stress to your life? I could never do that"
Maybe birth isn't for everyone. Or maybe we've been conditioned to think that way to further disconnect us from eachother... imagine if everyone supported births together!? (now that's a convo for another day, I'm getting side tracked 🙃)
But it's not the stress, it's about experiencing life, big deep emotions and all. And birth is one of those very big life moments I am honored to support.

Getting to observe and assist 's thorough experience & calm care for another frank breech birth always amazes me. And supporting alongside .helweg always inspires me with her wisdom and knowledge as a seasoned doula. I admire both of your knowledge! ❤️

A bit adhd with my thoughts. But that's kind of how my brain works anyways. Now time for a deep restful sleep.😴 💗

Two births just a day apart. 🥰 I had two different roles but both babies were born about 30 minutes after arriving!

At one, my role was providing doula support alongside a homebirth midwife, Christine and her team of assistants. It was wonderful to support alongside Christine, Brittany, and Allie. Christine's gentle care, attention to detail and calming presence were admirable to witness. I look forward to the possibility of our paths crossing again! 💗

At the other, my role was as an assistant to the midwife who was at another birth still! Things were wrapping up there and Mykl made his way as quickly as possible. Me and Alivia arrived at nearly the same time and with just 20 minutes to spare to check vitals and assess, baby was born! Her knowledgeable care, experience and kindness were beyond exemplary. We helped with all of the immediate care until Mykl arrived to confirm on everything we had relayed to him through calls/text. Mom & baby were both doing great.
I run into Alivia often, being an assistant to Mykl, but it was wonderful attending a birth together and look forward to that possibility again! 😊

Happy Valentine's Day from your next door doula!
If candy hearts had birth sayings 💃😆
For those moms who are trusting their bodies, babies choosing their timing, and doulas whispering “you’ve got this.” ✨️

Birth isn’t one-size-fits-all.
It’s intuition, evidence, support, and love.

A 2025 study published in AJOG adds powerful, up-to-date data showing associations between doula care and improved maternal and newborn outcomes.

Key Maternal Outcomes:

More vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC): For every 100 patients who received doula care, there were 15 to 34 additional VBACs compared with those without doula care.

Higher postpartum follow-up attendance: 5 to 6 more per 100 received postpartum office visits.

Key Neonatal / Infant Outcomes

Increased exclusive breastfeeding rates: Babies whose families had doula support were more likely to breastfeed exclusively.

Fewer preterm births (and early preterm births): Doula-supported births showed a reduction in preterm birth rates.

In short, the study links doula care with improvements in birth outcomes — across birth mode (more VBACs), infant health (less prematurity), and early infant care (breastfeeding, postpartum follow-up).
