Eli's most recent allergy testing...(11/12/12)
Despite multiple food, enviornmental, animal and medication allergies, Eli is staying pretty stable.
He will be having more testing done in the next few weeks and we have made great strides in his health.
What allergies does your child have & how are they best managed?

Does your asthmatic child go to public school? Eli started Kindergarten this fall (Momma was so sad) and it was an ordeal to co-ordinate all of his medical needs with school & doc etc but so far he is on week 2 and he's doing well (Mom is trying to cope lol) So any tips on how to cope with a highly allergic and asthmatic kiddo in school? My best advice is to help raise awareness in your school. Yours may be the first or most severe case but certainly won't be the last. Pave the way for others.

Have any of you ever sent your child to Asthma camp? If so...where? How was it?

Wow, this is the very first video that Eli and I did together to debut his blog. I apologize the volume is a bit low but it was shot from my old lap tops we**am. Hope you enjoy and share with those that could use the support and help dealing with and overcoming asthma and allergies (adult or child). Hope you are having a great allergy free Summer!

Kim Smith and her son Eli welcome you and briefly chat about his health and how they plan to pay it forward to others that are struggling with food allergies...

Just a little over a year ago at age 4 he had his FIRST swim without having a life threatening allergy. Now he swims like he's been doing it forever!

Today is Eli's 5th birthday!!! So many blessings coming true for him...I think he will have much to look forward to, especially being a "normal" kid!!! That was never in the cards for him till now. Happy birthday, Eli!!

Eli had his 5th birthday party this weekend...This is a milestone, I honestly feared he wouldn't make it to his 5th bday before, now I am super excited for his future and to watch this little guy grow and have as much fun as he did at his party...we had a blast. Asthma and allergies are still a part of our life, but it is no longer the priority and ruler...WOO HOO

This has been a tough season for allergies and asthma, Daddy has been miserable while Eli is enjoying every part of the Spring! He even offered to share his shakes to help Daddy out. We have had no nebulizer treatments, no steroids, no ER or Hosp. or reason to stay indoors. That is a major blessing!

Eli is playing SOCCER!!! Yet another milestone that we never thought would be possible for him. It's amazing that this sickly little guy got a new lease on life that started with a can of Reliv. Still amazed but looking forward to all his new adventures he gets to experience.

Eli is registered for Kindergarten in the Fall! This is a bittersweet thing for all Momma's but I am amazed at his progress and sad that he will be leaving me to go to school. Who would have thunk?

From weekly dr. visits, a laundry list of meds, and an ER staff that knew us by name to getting to start public school this year AND playing soccer in a few weeks. Eli was not your typical kid with asthma and allergies, his life has had many close calls but we are amazed at the young boy his is becoming today and to think it all started with a shake. :))
