Sunday night used to be the hardest time for me. That quiet before the week starts when everything you’ve been pushing down finally rises to the surface.

If you felt something just now, that’s not just anxiety. That’s your nervous system telling you it’s ready for something different.

The truth is when it comes to your self-worth the only opinion that matters is your own. And the only person that can improve your self-esteem is you. The first step to improving your self worth is to be more mindful. We can’t change something if we don’t recognize that there is something to change. Identifying negative self-talk is the only way to change it. Without this awareness, we can easily fall into the trap of believing our self-limiting dialogue.

The second step is realizing you have the power to change your own narrative. Figure out whose voices are being internalized and where the messages come from. When we frequently repeat negative messages in our mind we can start to believe they are true. These thoughts are learned, which means they can be unlearned.

Finally, find the things you are good at and do them more often! There’s no better way to boost your self-esteem. If it’s difficult for you to identify your unique gifts, ask a friend to point them out to you.

“If you’re working on changing bad habits, unhealthy thought patterns, negative emotions, or toxic behaviors, know that you are healing a small part of the world by healing yourself. Everyone around you will benefit and they will be served by your wholeness. It’s hard sometimes and I know you want to quit, but this is the work that ultimately changes the world.” -Emily Maroutian

Most women think healing happens the moment they become self-aware.

They finally understand why they people please. Why they overthink every conversation. Why they struggle to trust, set boundaries, or believe they’re worthy of healthy love.

For a while, that awareness feels freeing. It feels like progress. It feels like healing. Then something frustrating happens.

Their life doesn’t change.

The same patterns keep showing up. The same fears keep getting activated. The same wounds keep finding new ways to run the show.

This is where so many women get stuck, in understanding the wound.

Awareness is powerful. It’s necessary. It’s the doorway into healing. But awareness was never meant to be the destination.

You can spend years understanding why you are the way you are and still be living from the same wounded parts that learned to survive long ago.

Healing begins to shift when the question changes.

Instead of asking, “Why am I like this?” you begin asking, “What am I going to do with what I’ve learned?”

That’s where wisdom begins.

The goal isn’t to spend the rest of your life studying your wounds. The goal is to transform them into wisdom that guides your future instead of pain that keeps repeating your past.

This is the foundation of the Wounds to Wisdom Pathway.

Tell me where you are right now.

Do you feel like you’re in the wound stage, the awareness stage, or the wisdom stage?

Most of us were never taught how to calm our nervous systems.

We were taught to push through.
To keep going. To ignore what our bodies were trying to tell us.

Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as a breath.

These breathing techniques can help create a sense of safety in the body, regulate stress, quiet racing thoughts, and bring you back to the present moment when life feels overwhelming.

You don’t need an hour of meditation. You don’t need to do it perfectly. Just one intentional breath can begin to shift your state.

Save this guide so you have it when you need it most. Your nervous system will thank you. 🤍

✨ Which breathing technique do you use most often?

Self-worth is the opinion you have about yourself and the value you place on yourself.

Here are a few ways to boost your self-worth:

Do something kind for someone.

Take care of your appearance to your liking.

Change your scenery if possible.
