Watching John Henry perform card tricks always reminds me of something deeper.
You can run from your purpose.
You can ignore the calling.
You can convince yourself you’re not qualified, not worthy, or too far gone.
But God has a way of finding you anyway.
No matter how many wrong turns we take, how many excuses we make, or how far we wander, His pursuit never stops.
We spend a lot of time talking about reducing toxins in our homes, our water, our food, and our environment. Those things matter.
But some of the most damaging toxins aren’t environmental at all.
They’re the lies we tell ourselves.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I’ve messed up too much.”
“God could never use someone like me.”
“It’s too late.”
Those thoughts can keep a person trapped longer than any physical toxin ever could.
The truth is there is a Father in Heaven who loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you.
Not when you had it all together.
Not when you earned it.
Not when you became worthy.
Right now.
And no matter how far you’ve run, hidden, doubted, or resisted, He has never stopped pursuing you.
Maybe today is the day you stop running and start listening.
