When major entities/corporations such as Blue Cross shield violate major laws in the US, they no longer have concerns about doing so. They get a financial slap on the wrist in court (which results in people getting payments like this) and it’s an absolute joke. I was previously involved in an AT&T overtime class action lawsuit where we were basically not paid for a tremendous amount of overtime hours when I worked for the company. I ended up getting a check for $1.56. So basically… if you run a major corporation, you can just freely violate people’s rights or violate major laws, and even if you get taken to court for a class action lawsuit, they’ll only take a little bit of your money and you’ll be able to keep doing business (even if you are involved in a plethora of lawsuits for the same stuff) You’ll be fine 👍
