Welcome to a DOPE Community of Special Individuals. I'm 26 yrs old, I was born with Down Syndrome. "My Syndrome DOPE" I never thought I was different because I grew up with an older brother and 4 Younger siblings, we was very close in age. I thought I could do whatever they did, an I did. I swimmed like a fish, every year through my high school I was first place for special olympics💪 until my 12th grade year😞 I discovered Guillain Barre Syndrome. I was paralyzed from my feet up for over 6 months. I had to completely learn how to walk again. That was very hard for me because I was very active. Still today, I'm permanent nerve damage, my nerves are NON-Regenerative. So that makes me have a Double Syndrome!! Once again, I never thought "I was Different!! So that's a little about me along with my Welcoming you. Here we want you to be yourself and enlighten your differences of dopeness. As Down Syndrome Awareness Month comes to an end, we are still thriving day to day to over come our obstacles, embracing inclusion and celebrating the unique strengths of every disability.
