Meet Dr. Manning 🏜️🌿
Dr. Michael Manning is dual board-certified In internal medicine as well as allergy and immunology caring for patients at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
An Arizona native, Dr. Manning’s passion for allergy care began when he was a young patient in the same practice he later joined, guided by his childhood allergist and mentor, Dr. Hartley.
Dr. Manning graduated with honors from Baylor University. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center and pursued his internal medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. This was followed by an allergy and immunology fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California.
A national leader in his field, Dr. Manning is a fellow of AAAAI and ACAAI, a current Board of Regents member for ACAAI, and a past president of the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He lectures across the country and heads a cutting-edge research program within the practice.
He treats everything from allergies and asthma to sinusitis, food and drug allergies, hives, immune deficiencies, and hereditary angioedema.
Outside the office, Dr. Manning loves running half and full marathons with his daughter, coaching youth sports, and rescuing animals with his wife. 🐾🏃‍♂️✨

Meet Laura Jochen, FNP-C 🌿💛
Laura has been part of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology for over 20 years. She began her career in front office, billing, and nursing roles, building a strong foundation before advancing to lead our food allergy program with a focus on oral immunotherapy (OIT).

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, graduating summa cm laude from Grand Canyon University, and remains committed to staying current with the latest research to provide the highest quality, evidence-based care.

A member of the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, she is passionate about patient education and caring for individuals of all ages with conditions including food and environmental allergies, urticaria, primary immunodeficiencies, asthma, eczema, and more.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys time with her husband, their three children, and their boxer dogs. 🐾💛

Meet Jean Nelson, FNP-C 💙🌼
Jean Nelson has been providing compassionate care at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology for over 40 years.

Jean earned her nursing degrees from Iowa Central Community College and ASU, completing her Master of Science and FNP training at summa cm laude and receiving the Graduate Scholar of the Year award. She began her career at the practice working alongside Drs. Hartley, Romero, and Manning, and has been an essential part of the team ever since.

As an FNP, Jean provides comprehensive care, creating personalized wellness plans and advocating for proactive health management. She has a passion for education both in the clinic and across the country, where she lectures on asthma and allergy care.

Jean serves as a board member of the Arizona Asthma Coalition and is the chairman of the planning committee for the annual Asthma & Allergy Clinical Conference in Phoenix. She is certified by the ANCC and a proud member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Outside of work, Jean enjoys family time, playing piano and organ, and spoiling her grandchildren. 🎹💛

Meet Dr. Davis 👋🌵
Dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology, Dr. Aaron Davis has been helping patients breathe easier at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology since 2005.

Born and raised in Richland, WA, he took his love of science to Carroll College, then on to St. Louis University for med school. From there, he headed to sunny Arizona for his Mayo Clinic residency and wrapped up his training with an allergy & immunology fellowship at Henry Ford Health Systems.

He’s an active member of all the big allergy & immunology organizations and a proud diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Davis adventuring outdoors or traveling with his wife, Kelly, an orthopedic PA. ✈️🌄

Dear Patients,

I am writing to share that I will be leaving my position at Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates at the end of February 2026. This was a difficult decision, made after much thought, as I have chosen to return to the East Coast.

I am deeply grateful to the partners, staff and my fellow providers for the support, collaboration and kindness you have shown me over the past two years. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated and compassionate team.

Most importantly, I want to thank my patients for the trust you have placed in me. Caring for you has been truly meaningful, and I am honored to have been part of your healthcare journey. I am confident that you will continue to receive exceptional care from the outstanding providers at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates.
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve this community. I will always value the relationships and experiences I have gained here.
