Little Anthony was admitted to the hospital yesterday. He’s been on IV fluids and IV zofran. They saw “air fluid levels” on his abdominal xray and they think it’s from ileus (the bowel temporarily asleep and disorganized) after being sick, or a blockage (not likely because of how he’s presenting) or severe stomach or intestinal infections. We are waiting for some more test and blood work to come back. He started to vomit everywhere last night and refused to eat or drink. I want him to be able to go home so badly but, more than that, I just want him better. Today is day 12, I haven’t slept, I honestly know I’m only functioning right now because of the supernatural strength of God. I know I’m physically exhausted, but I don’t feel it. Super grateful for our amazing tribe that has rallied around us to make it possible for us to be here with him and still know the other kids are being well loved. 🤎

We’re struggling! Right now Little Anthony is the only one still sick. So far he’s about 20 hours vomit free. With zofran. He’s been eating today and drinking well. But Ultima Replenisher is my go to whenever someone isn’t feeling well.

Update: little Anthony got sick 4 times last night he only ate breakfast and refused his lunch and dinner but I found out he did ask dad for a “special sandwich” in between lunch and dinner (an uncrustable, not normally part of our routine)
I limited his liquid intake so that he wasn’t chugging. He’s still sleeping so we will see how the day goes. His pediatrician said to continue giving him the zofran for the next 48 hours even if he stops vomiting. Monitor fluid intake and output to watch for signs of dehydration.

I thought we turned a corner but nope! Little Anthony just had an exorcist style vomit. 😭 I was looking forward to sleep...

I thought we turned a corner but nope! Little Anthony just had an exorcist style vomit. 😭 I was looking forward to sleeping tonight but I’ll be up watching him again all night. And yes dad can stay up with him, but I’m not going to sleep knowing he’s sick. He has eaten today, but not a lot. Refused lunch and dinner. He was drinking a good amount. So we’re back to restricting the flow (tiny timed sips so he doesn’t chug). This is day 8 - picture of baby Carl 🤎

I know some of you guys love to tell me what to do - so here is your chance - My mother is sleep in california as its 4a there - but 24 hours vomit free for little Anthony as of 6:30a this morning. Had his last dose of zofran at 10p last night. He’s eating and drinking normally. Should I still give him the zofran? Night 7 of no sleep staying up watching him because I’m afraid he will choke if I don’t help him sit up 😩

For the last 6 days someone in my house has had a stomach bug 😅 little Anthony seemed to get it the worst and has had it the longest and that landed us in the hospital today. He threw up 11 times last night alone. He was still drinking and eating somewhat normally. Our lovely pediatrician has been helping us, but we made it to the point of needing IV fluids and IV zofran today. Thankful for an excellent husband and father for my kids, who dropped everything to run home, bring us clothes, cleaning supplies, and some other stuff we needed because my truck and car seat were covered 🥴 and our amazing nanny who was able to be with the other kids while we got him the care he needed. And our lovely housekeeper who washed every sheet, towel, bowl, and item of clothing we have not thrown away because we’ve used everything. And thankful for my husband again who answered the call when our teenager called from school sick and needed to be picked up. Then came home and made us a delicious steak dinner. Pray for us. 🤎 He was good for 24 hours and then got sick again this morning. Hoping it’s a one off and we’re gonna be clear 😅😅 and because I’ve already received nasty messages after posting about this on Facebook - I did not take the kids to the aquarium while they were sick - that visit was over 2 weeks ago. And Daphne got car sick as an ISOLATED incident not related to the stomach bug.
