Happy Wednesday everyone!

Stopping by briefly with a quick PSA on staying safe during the heatwave. Please stay hydrated!! That is the most important part of staying safe in the heat. That being said, if you do not have to venture outside please don’t. Especially for those with respiratory conditions or heart conditions, try and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat and humidity.

An easy way to help stay hydrated is to eat your water. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables can keep you hydrated along with drinking enough fluids. Please reflect back on symptoms of heatstroke to make sure you’re staying safe.

If you or a loved one aren’t able to get to your doctor for an appointment, remember ACMC has you covered. You can book all appointments at www.ArlenesMedical.com!

Hello ACMC Family and Friends!

I know it’s been some time since you all have seen me, but I am happy to be back. While we’ve been quiet on our social media pages, we’ve been working on some new things that we can’t wait to share with you!🤗

Quick reminder for the allergy season we’re in— please stock up on your allergy medications and nasal sprays and please stay hydrated. 🤧 We’re expected to have a long allergy season this year and this is only the beginning.

Thank you so much for your continued support and patience. 🧡🧡

Happy Medicine Monday and Happy Women’s History Month!

Celebrating Women’s History Month allows us to educate ourselves on the impact women have had on history and how society and culture affects us as women. There are plenty of societal and economical issues that we’ve been fighting for and that we still continue to fight for as women. As women of color, there are so many health disparities we face everyday in healthcare.

Black women are more likely to experience high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and pregnancy complications like preeclampsia, which can become life-threatening without proper care and early intervention. Studies also show Black women are five times more likely to die from pregnancy-related heart conditions like cardiomyopathy and hypertensive disorders. Being more at risk for certain chronic health conditions also plays a major role in this crisis.

But this crisis isn’t only about health conditions, it’s about systemic gaps in care, delayed treatment, and not always being heard when symptoms are reported.

Maternal health disparities are not new—they’re rooted in history. It’s time to raise awareness, demand equity, and ensure every mother has access to safe and quality care. 💜

As we face yet another winter storm.
We say Thank you to all our healthcare workers, law enforcement and emergency personel who do not get to close just because there is a storm

We know your doctor’s office may be closed but , the weather is not a problem!
You can still get your medical needs taken care of from the comfort and safety of home.

Remember safety is priority. Please stay off the roads if you don’t have to be out.
Stay warm and most importantly stay SAFE!!

We have all been caught off guard at the worst times!
Not feeling well and shuffling around our medicine cabinets only to find our pain reliever and even our expensive supplements are expired.
After all this snow removal who wants their pain reliever to fall short😭

Well it’s time to check those pill bottles for their expiration dates. Often times they do lose their potency and at times it
Is truly unsafe to take especially if they have been expired for a while.
