💪 Have you noticed protein powder prices going up?
It’s not just inflation.
Several factors have contributed to higher protein powder prices, including increased demand for protein, rising raw material costs, and ongoing supply chain challenges. In addition, many people using GLP-1 weight-loss medications are making protein a higher priority to help preserve muscle, which has also increased demand.
The good news?
You don’t have to rely on protein powder alone!
Great sources of protein include:
🥚 Eggs
🥣 Greek yogurt
🧀 Cottage cheese
🍗 Chicken or turkey
🐟 Fish
🫘 Beans and lentils
🥜 Nuts and seeds
🌱 Tofu and other soy foods
💚 Pea protein is also an excellent plant-based option, especially for those who don’t tolerate whey well.
Protein powder is convenient, but it’s just one way to help meet your daily protein needs.
Have you noticed protein prices increasing where you shop? What are your favorite ways to add more protein to your diet? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
