Margaret Mortimore is a licensed/registered physical therapist with 30 years of experience, 24 ½ years specializing in pediatrics. In the past 14 years, she has been in her own private practice providing PT evaluations, c
onsultations and treatment for babies, toddlers from birth to 3 years of age. In 1998, Margaret began to study CranioSacral Therapy (CST) via the Upledger Institute and most recently with Carol Gray, midwife and Craniosacral therapist in Portland OR. She offers Craniosacral Therapy for all ages. Margaret is a “hybrid” therapist, PT for the “fuel” physical body and CST for the “electrical energetic” body. Margaret spent 3 years in West Africa teaching and providing PT at a rehabilitation center for children with polio, which provided the inspiration for to serve children with special needs and supporting their families when she returned to the U.S. Her pediatric PT experience includes 3 years at a school-based setting, 5 years at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the past 15 years in early intervention, providing PT for infants and toddlers, from birth to 3 years of age. Margaret uses a relational-based approach with her clients and parents with her background and training in infant mental health. Margaret began to study craniosacral therapy in 1998 through her own healing and growth journey. She is a continuous student wanting to learn and to always expand herself as a means of being an instrument of God’s healing and love. Margaret has travelled extensively and has had the opportunity of teaching and volunteering in a variety of countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Beijing, China and Haiti. She speaks conversational Spanish and in her “spare” time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, traveling, and playing golf!
