My “morning visualization time” and I had drifted apart.

Not all at once.
But a few missed mornings turned into a week.
Then two …

And then eventually the ...
“I’ll start back Monday”
“I’ll start back at the beginning of the month when things slow down”

Sound familiar?

The result?
My motivation was dipping, because I wasn’t setting up my mornings with a strong mental practice!

And waiting until a “perfect” time wasn’t going to cut it.

So I ran my own 3-Day Reset...the same tool I teach clients:

For 3 days focus in on these 2 simple steps -

Step 1 -
Notice the self-talk. When “I don’t know if I’ll ever get back on track” showed up, I asked: is that actually true?

Step 2 -
Shrink the commitment. Not 10 minutes of visualization. Just one intentional glance at the board.

Two steps. Three days.

Full transparency: I filmed the reel on this exact tool the same week I was living it. I wasn’t just the coach here. I was the client. :)

And now? Fully back in the habit.
No guilt tax required!

You don’t need a perfect restart.
You need a smaller one.

What’s one habit that’s quietly slipped for you this week?

09/05/2026

If your energy feels stuck, maybe you don’t need yet another healthy habit.

Maybe you just need something new.

I recorded this one on a day trip, in a city I hadn’t seen in years.

Nothing dramatic happened in that day.

But I drove home sharper, lighter, happier than I’d felt all week.

Why?
Turns out it is not random.

There’s actual science behind why new experiences fuel your energy, even “unspectacular” new experiences

If your energy is feeling stuck, ask yourself: when was the last time you did something new?

09/04/2026

Out of sight.
Out of mind.

If you’re like me, this old saying is a big reason new habits can be a struggle.

For example, in my life, I know how much journaling helps my mental energy.

But ... I used to keep my journal tucked away (all in the name of “staying uncluttered”)

Then I’d wonder “Why haven’t I journaled in two weeks?!?”

One day, I tried moving it beside my sofa.

Viola!
Visible = Done

It’s not just me, though.

A client of mine noticed she’d stopped drinking enough water.
Not from a busy stretch, not from forgetting to care.
She’d simply switched to an opaque water bottle.

So, she could no longer see how much was left and her brain stopped tracking it.

Her habit didn’t fail from a lack of willpower.
It failed from a lack of visibility.

What’s one habit or priority that might be failing simply because it’s out of sight?

“If you tell me I have to go to a gym and be with people, I will never do this.”

That’s what one of my clients told me.

He wanted to move more.
He was simply an introvert who spent all day around people.

So we built his workout as a (literal) walk in the park.

Soon after, I sat down with someone else.
Same goal.

Before I even finished asking about her life, she stopped me.

“If you tell me I have to walk in a park by myself, I will never do this.”

She needed people. Actually there. In person.

Same goal. Same habit.
Two people who couldn’t have been wired more differently.

It comes down to this ...
Your body doesn’t care how it moves. It just wants to move.

Which means knowing your personality can help you stick with your workouts, or any habit!

My guest on Real Wellness this week works around the world and is an expert in personality.

You don’t need someone else’s system.
You need the one that fits how you’re wired.

Your willpower isn’t weak. It’s just outnumbered.

Your prefrontal cortex (that “let’s be disciplined” part of your brain) vs. a reward system that’s been running the show for years?

Not a fair fight.

Until you know how to use that reward system to your advantage!

That’s why I’ve (finally) learned it’s about Wowpower > willpower.

👇 What’s a habit you keep white-knuckling instead of making fun?

08/31/2026

She almost didn’t hire her.

Grace Edwards talks about her EA like family ... “the brunette version of me.”

But early on? She wasn’t sure if she should even considering it.

A year and a half later, she says she couldn’t do what she does without her.

You don’t get extra credit for carrying everything alone!
You get depleted.

What’s the one thing on your plate right now that isn’t actually yours to carry?

Listen in to the full episode on Real Wellness podcast.

Thanks Grace for sharing your “can’t miss” insights on what, when, and how to delegate.

You keep doing the task anyone could do.

Meanwhile the thing only you can do... waits.

That’s not discipline.
That’s a leak in your energy.

Delegation isn’t handing off what you don’t want.

It’s protecting the hours nobody else can spend.

What’s one thing on your list this week that was never actually yours to do?

08/29/2026

Your friend stuck with a habit. You didn’t.

Why?

It’s not a discipline gap.
You just had different breakdown points.

You and your friend needed something different to make it stick.

81% of people who try to change a habit fail. Rarely from lack of willpower.

Often, it’s from running someone else’s “fix” on their own problem.

When yours falls apart, where does it actually fall apart?
→ Boredom
→ No support
→ Life gets busy
→ You don’t believe it’ll stick

What’s yours?
I’ll send you your first step out.

Why is something easy for someone else, but hard for you?

It’s not because they are more talented, more disciplined, or everything is going perfect in their life.

It’s because they’ve built what works for them, uniquely.

You can do the same.

All month on Real Wellness we’ve been talking about how to fix the struggle to make habits stick.

See you there!
