We did a thing. 🥹

Officially 200-hour certified yoga teachers!🕉️✨

But somehow, saying “I finished yoga teacher training” doesn’t even begin to describe what these last few months have meant to me.

YTT taught me to get uncomfortable. To quiet my ego. To trust my body. To take up space. To use my voice. To let myself change without needing to explain who I was becoming.

There were moments I questioned myself, moments I felt completely out of my comfort zone, and moments where something inside of me just… clicked.

And then I taught my practicum.

I looked around the room at friends, family, strangers who became community, and the people who have walked beside me through this journey and realized how much had changed since the first day I walked into teacher training.

During our closing ceremony, I was given my spiritual name:

Śūra Nāda (शूर नाद)
“She whose courageous spirit becomes sacred resonance.”

I don’t think I could have received a name that more beautifully represents what this chapter has been about for me.

Finding my voice.
Trusting it.
And having the courage to let it be heard.

To my dearest Debbie, my YTT family, family, friends and everyone who came to my practicum, thank you, love you all sm 💓

Excited for what’s ahead!

Śūra Nāda. 🪷✨

If you think you know me, you don’t.

You know the parts I’ve chosen to share.

And that’s enough.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone gets access to every version of me. Social media has brought incredible people and opportunities into my life, but it’s also taught me that what we see online is rarely the whole picture.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on the kleshas in yoga philosophy, especially asmita…our attachment to identity.

It’s easy to become attached to a label.

The yogi.
The career woman.
The mother.
The entrepreneur.
The creative.
The wife.

But none of those are me.

They’re expressions of me.

For a long time, I thought I needed to find the one thing that defined me. Then I realized that’s another trap.

I’ve seen how easy it is to replace one attachment with another. We often talk about addiction as substances, but sometimes we simply swap one void for another. Work becomes the addiction. Achievement becomes the addiction. Wellness can become the addiction. Even the best things can become something we grip so tightly that the very practice meant to create freedom starts creating pressure.

I’ve never wanted to be known for just one thing.

Not because I’m afraid of commitment, but because I believe we’re meant to evolve.

To grow.

To surprise ourselves.

I don’t want yoga, sound healing, being a wife/ mother to become my entire personality any more than I wanted my career to be, or any other chapter of my life. I want it to be one thread woven into a much bigger story.

Today feels like the most authentic I’ve ever been. Not because I’ve finally figured myself out, but because I’ve stopped trying to fit inside a single definition.

I’m allowing myself to become.

Again and again.

Maybe that’s what balance really is.

Not clinging so tightly to any identity that you forget you’re allowed to keep growing.

There’s so much more to me than what you see here.

And honestly…

I’m still meeting her too. 🤍

The culmination of months of becoming a higher version of myself.

The early mornings.
The shaky first time standing in front of a room.
The moments I questioned whether I was capable.
The tears.
The breakthroughs.
The countless times I was asked to let go of old beliefs, old patterns, and old versions of myself that no longer aligned with who I was becoming.

In just under two weeks, I’ll be teaching my Yoga Teacher Training Practicum…my final class before becoming a certified yoga teacher.

When I started this journey, I thought I was learning how to teach yoga.

Instead, yoga has been teaching me.

It’s taught me that transformation isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about becoming a higher version of yourself. Shedding what no longer serves you, trusting yourself enough to grow, and making space for the person you were always capable of becoming.

If you’ve followed my journey, encouraged me, believed in me, or have simply been curious about what I’ve been pouring my heart into these past few months, I would be so honored to have you there.

This class is about so much more than movement.

It’s about releasing what no longer serves you.
Creating space for what’s next.
Returning to yourself.
And remembering that you have permission to evolve, again and again.

I’ve poured my whole heart into creating an experience that leaves you feeling supported from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave.
