You Can Help a Child During the Weekend!
Northlands Rescue Mission is committed to ending hunger in the Grand Forks community. That's why they started the Backpack Program, which provides local children with food every week during the school year. NEW this year, they are expanding the program to cover all elementary and middle schools in Grand Forks so that no student goes without the opportunity for food assistance in the area. This means that as many as 2200 children will receive a bag of food through their school that they can take home over the weekend!
Backpack Program food bags are filled with two breakfast items, two lunch items, two fruit items, two snacks, and two juice pouches. At the end of each week during the school year, bags are discreetly given to students to take home. This helps ensure that kids have a healthy and reliable source of food over the weekend. It also helps parents save money so they can pay bills and purchase items their children need, such as school supplies and medication.
My goal for this fundraiser is $100.00-&-then-some. Supporting the Backpack Program, supports a child's future. Just $100 can help a child get through an entire year (when school lunches are unavailable). I would love to reach & surpass $100.00 for this fundraiser (3/1/2022-3/31/2022) and many more Backpack Program fundraisers to come.

Each Backpack Program food bag is filled with two breakfast items, two lunch items, two snacks, two non-perishable fruit items, and two beverages. Your support of the Backpack Program keeps local children healthy and happy by giving them the nutrition they need.
