Tongue ties are SO common, and I’ve had so many clients with tongue tied babies lately
First and foremost - mamas, if you’re dreading nursing because of pain, we need to talk. Whether it’s a tie or something else happening with the latch, it shouldn’t feel like that.
The thing is - all of the symptoms above COULD indicate a tongue tie. It could also be something else.
Most importantly, how baby is growing and how mom is feeling when baby nurses should dictate the kind of treatment.
If you’re wondering whether your baby has a tie or if something else is affecting feeding, an individualized feeding assessment can help you understand what’s actually happening.
You don’t have to figure it out from a photo of your baby’s mouth or a checklist on the internet. Drop me a message and we’ll figure it out together! 🩷
