Every fundraiser helps cats like Pops 🐱
The next two weeks are going to be some of the hardest — and most important — weeks we’ve faced in a long time.
Akron Rescue Cats will be fully vetting nearly 80 cats through two separate clinic days, while also covering dental procedures and bladder stone removal surgeries for several of our senior babies. The cost of this care is overwhelming, but these cats deserve every chance at comfort, health, and safety.
That’s why we desperately need our Spring Carnival to be a success.
Every chicken dinner purchased, every basket raffle ticket bought, every donation dropped off truly matters right now. These aren’t just numbers on a vet invoice to us — these are living souls who depend entirely on people willing to care.
Many of the cats we are helping are not the “easy” cases. They are not always young, healthy, or quickly adoptable. Many come from massive outdoor colonies where caregivers love them deeply but simply cannot afford the medical care needed to stop the cycle.
We see colony after colony with 40, 50, sometimes even more cats struggling to survive. Tiny kittens born outside. Mothers continuously having litter after litter until their bodies give out. Sick cats suffering silently because nobody has the resources to help.
Not just for the kittens — for the moms and dads too.
We trap them, spay them, vaccinate them, treat injuries and infections, and make sure they never have to continue suffering through endless pregnancies ever again. This is how overpopulation stops. This is how suffering stops before the next generation is born into it.
But we cannot do it alone.
We are a nonprofit rescue. Much of this comes from our own pockets, our own time, our own exhaustion, and our own hearts breaking over and over again for these animals. We do it because they deserve someone to fight for them.
Right now, we are asking our community to fight alongside us.
Please come to the carnival. Please support the raffle. Please bring a donation if you can. Every single dollar helps us continue saying “yes” to cats that otherwise would have no help at all.
