Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and is a time to reflect, learn, and honor freedom and resilience.

We will resume normal business hours the following business day.

🌞 Why sunscreen matters:
Regular use of sunscreen helps reduce your risk of skin cancer, including melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer. UV rays can damage your skin even on cloudy days and during everyday activities like driving or walking outside.

🧴 How to protect your skin:

Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (protects against UVA & UVB)

Choose SPF 30 or higher

Apply 15 minutes before going outside

Reapply every 2 hours — and after swimming or sweating

Don’t forget ears, lips, neck, and hands

👒 Extra protection tips:

Wear a wide-brimmed hat and UV-blocking sunglasses

Seek shade between 10 AM – 4 PM

Wear protective clothing when possible

Your skin is your body’s largest organ — protect it for life. Daily sunscreen use is one of the simplest ways to lower your risk of skin cancer.

El uso regular de protector solar ayuda a reducir el riesgo de cáncer de piel, incluido el melanoma, el tipo más grave de cáncer de piel. Los rayos UV pueden dañar la piel incluso en días nublados y durante actividades cotidianas como conducir o caminar al aire libre.

Improving your mental health can take time and effort, but it is worth it. This Mental Health Awareness Month, get some exercise and sunshine, eat nutritious foods, and practice self-care. Sometimes we have a bad day, and that's okay. Just pick yourself up and start again.
