Hoosiers believe in personal responsibility and limited government.

It is not the government's job to police the private choices of responsible adults (21+). It is the government's job to ensure that products on the market are safe and that our communities are funded.

Legalization allows law enforcement to stop chasing plants and start focusing on violent crime, while we generate revenue to support our schools and police. That's common-sense.

Ten years ago, Illinois officially began regulated medical cannabis sales.

While the law was passed in 2013, it was in 2015 that Illinois patients could finally walk into a state-licensed dispensary and legally purchase lab-tested medicine. This marked the start of a decade of successful regulation, patient access, and a clear safety record.

The Takeaway for Indiana:
10 Years of Proof: A decade of regulated sales next door proves that cannabis can be managed safely, responsibly, and successfully.

Hoosier Patients Wait: Our neighbors have had ten years of relief from debilitating conditions, while Indiana patients are still being forced to break the law or drive out of state.

Economic Opportunity Lost: All the revenue from those 10 years has benefited Illinois's tax base, not ours.

It’s past time for Indiana to stop delaying. Our neighboring states have shown how this can be done.
