The Barr Hill Players is an actors' retreat held in Vermont's breathtaking Northeast Kingdom. BHP was founded in 2015 by Trevor Olds, a Brown University graduate, actor, certified fight choreographer, and trained EMT. The program combines work in Meisner, Viewpoints, mindfulness, and wilderness skills to get actors more connected to their bodies.

This Sunday, our BHP community ventured to Staten Island for a very special, magical afternoon…

Patrick O’Connell (a beloved BHP alumni from our 2021 session) directed an immersive, outdoor production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, a Clementine Players Production. We were transported to a world of fairies, mischief and magic. 🧚

It’s been two weeks since our 2024 Fellows left Barr Hill and we’re still reeling! This ensemble of artists brought so much hard work, joy, and willingness to explore to this year’s session - we miss them already.

For the first time ever, the Summer Fellowship culminated with a live staged reading of a new play in New York City. We had the immense privilege of presenting “Serene and Determined”, a new play by Eva Schegulla at La MaMa Galleria. Thank you to Eva for trusting us with this piece, and thank you to all who came to support!
