Every year, our maternity teams at Butler Memorial Hospital and Westmoreland Hospital welcome more than a thousand babies — and one of the very first traditions they experience is being wrapped in a handmade, one‑of‑a‑kind baby hat lovingly created by members of our community.

These tiny hats are more than just cozy. They represent care, creativity, and connection. From classic caps to holiday‑themed favorites (yes, even Grinch, Groundhog Day, and Mister Rogers‑inspired styles!), each hat tells a story of generosity and shared joy.

We are so grateful to the Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary, Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the many talented community members who donate their time and hearts to help make every baby’s arrival extra special.
