After completing a Reiki workshop her students feel confident in their ability to use Reiki for personal growth or professional Reiki business development. As a Usui/ Holy Fire, Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher Colleen certifies students in all l

evels of Reiki from beginners to the advanced Reiki practitioners. Colleen's passion and commitment is teaching Reiki as a mainstream profession and as a life management tool. She trains people from all professions, belief systems, and spiritual experience. With the common goal of living a life of meaning and purpose, Colleen’s students learn how to use Reiki to know themselves more directly and as a practice that contributes to the wellbeing of others and the planet. Colleen is a Senior Professional Licensed Reiki Master Teacher for the International Center for Reiki Training and a contributing author for Reiki News Magazine since 2005. Colleen is also an Associate Teacher for the LightSong School of Shamanic Studies and has created the Reiki program for the school. She is excited to share her years of experience and knowledge of Reiki and to create a supportive Reiki community. Colleen is also a full time Reiki practitioner and blends her Reiki and shamanic healing techniques in her Reiki sessions.

Watching a total solar eclipse is a spiritual experience and the video never captures what it not only looks like, but what it feels like.

It’s the reason we travelled to Spain and it was the best decision! We also followed our spiritual guidance (our own and signs from Reiki and Spirit) to end up in such a special spot to watch the eclipse. The story is a neat one that we told on our podcast but I’ll try to tell here too.

We are grateful for the opportunity for this core memory for us and our families!

When we think of energy healing, we usually picture a practitioner placing their hands directly on a client. But in ICRT Animal Reiki, our hands are often nowhere near the animal!

For animals, physical boundaries are tied to safety, survival, and trust. That is why we let the animal choose exactly how, and where, the energy is received.

Letting the Animal Be the Boss
We constantly read their body language to navigate the session:

The Invitation: If a dog walks over and presses its back against your knee, or a cat tucks itself right under your hand, they are consenting to physical touch.

The Boundary: If an animal steps away, turns their back, or looks at you with tension when you move closer, they are telling you, "I want the healing, but please keep your distance."

By putting our own desire to pet the animal aside and honoring their cues, we give them something rare: total autonomy. And that trust is where the deepest healing begins.
