On Thursday, I spent the day healing...
I had Jeffrey's image tattooed on my forearm.
I trekked to Brooklyn for my appointment at Atelier Eva.

The studio was beautiful, the staff was friendly and welcoming, even the other patrons were lovely.
The energy at Atelier Eva felt deeply special.

I had chosen my artist Ali Dündar Tattooer over a year ago, while Jeffrey was still with us.
I had been searching for an artist who specialized in micro realistic portraiture
There were hundreds of incredible portfolios but it was Ali's that gave me a intuitive jolt similar to when I found Jeffrey's NYACC photo in 2010.

Always trust your intuition! It will never steer you wrong.
Ali was meticulous! He painstakingly included every detail and captured Jeffrey's essence perfectly.
The time spent on his table was almost meditative, deeply therapeutic.
I felt complete trust in him(which is huge for me) and chose not to look until he was finished.

When he was finally finished, I couldn't believe my eyes!

Absolute perfection.

My reaction was so emotional, it even caught me off guard.
I sobbed like a baby...
😭😭😭

Ali Dundar, you beautiful soul, thank you from the bottom of my heart for ensuring Jeffrey is with me forever.
I have no doubt Jeffrey put you in my path.
You are now a part of Jeffrey's journey and I am forever grateful.
Thank you for all that you do for animal rescue as well!

Happy heavenly Birthday to sweet Jambo.
He was such an inspiration to us over the years.

I hope Jambo and Jeffrey are celebrating together in heaven ❤️

Today would have been Jambo’s birthday. 💔🎂

My precious boy may no longer be physically by my side, but he remains forever in my heart and in the hearts of so many people whose lives he touched. From his mischievous antics and endless cuddles to his incredible work as a force-free training partner and ambassador for “Bully” breeds, Jambo left pawprints everywhere.

Many of you will remember me joking that Jambo had a bigger wardrobe than I did… and honestly, it was probably true! ❤️

In memory of my beautiful boy, I have donated his extensive collection of clothes and accessories to the DDA Watch Auctions to help raise funds for dogs and families affected by Breed Specific Legislation in the UK.

Today would have been Puck's 10th Adoptaversary.
He was my greatest challenge and my greatest teacher.
I miss him terribly.

Grieving a "difficult" ( I prefer "challenging") dog is a very unique and extremely painful type of grief.
He struggled with behavior challenges, which made his world quite small.
Our bond was forged in steel.
The more difficult the behavior was, the deeper our bond grew.
I always understood he wasn't giving me a hard time, he was having a hard time.
I never, ever gave up on him...

I would not be the trainer I am today, or have such an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, if it weren't for Puck.
He dragged me down the rabbit hole of behavior headfirst.
I am forever grateful for everything he taught me, and for everything I will learn going forward.
I will always strive to be better than I was the day before.
When I'm able to help someone find the beauty in, and teach them to give their challenging dog some grace, it brings me a tremendous of peace.

I owe it all to Puck Francis.

I know they put Kevin directly in my path.
