🎉 Exciting News! 🌟 (from May 😂)

At Vibe, our love for kiddos and families is no secret, which is why I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’m now officially a certified youth mental health specialist! My passion for empowering young minds and their families has never been stronger. As a parent myself, I’ve discovered that valuable information is often hard to find, which is why I am always so grateful for the opportunity to share everything I can with you and yours!

Not only do we work directly with children, we also offer tailored sessions for parents eager to enhance their parenting skills. Together, we can navigate the beautiful, chaotic, messy journey of parenting and build stronger, healthier connections with our little ones.

I’m pumped to spend the day celebrating the culmination of Josh’s summer internship (don’t worry, we have her for her final professional internship through December, at least! 😇).

I have always wanted to build a team, but running a business directly related to client care made me apprehensive, and I was super picky about who I brought on until Josh fell out of the sky. Summer in private practice can be a really slow time, and during our first interview, when I shared with Josh my hopes (🤞🏻) of getting her enough hours to graduate, her blind optimism in me really sealed the deal. 😂

If you’ve had the pleasure of working with her, you know she is the absolute vibe, and that comes from genuinely caring about people. Here’s to shared journeys, continued growth, and the absolute privilege of making a difference together… 🙌🏻

Sorry to all the parents of the kiddos we send home with slime! 😝 You might wonder why we are torturing you so….

Slime promotes bilateral stimulation, which helps with emotional processing by engaging both sides of the body through hand use and, in turn, both sides of the brain.

We often incorporate mindfulness by adding scents or textures, stimulating our senses and enhancing emotional processing.

Slime can also be a tool for visualization, allowing kiddos to imagine magical powers they might feel like they need, like bravery or confidence, by adding specific colors or glitter (my fave)!!!

and MOST importantly, we know that the therapeutic relationship is the heart of effective therapy. We want kids to look forward to coming back, and slime can help make that happen 🫶🏻

On my first night out on the boat this year, I felt a bit uncertain about docking in the new slip, especially with the wind picking up, BUT some amazing friends were right there with me to boost my confidence. They playfully reminded me to “take her wide like the minivan” 🤣, and wouldn’t you know it—I nailed it andddd they put it on a shirt 😂 A great reminder that when we start to doubt ourselves, it’s so important to lean on our people who remind us of our capabilities…🙌🏻💪🏻
