PA APSE Our Goals:

Promote employment opportunities for all people, through local, regional, and national networks.

Pennsylvania Chapter of National APSE, the only national membership organization focused exclusively on Employment First to facilitate the full inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace and community. Help establish and expand equitable employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Advocate with federal, state, and local legislators for legislation promoting integrated e

mployment. Work with federal, state, and local policy makers to increase funding for integrated employment. Raise awareness within the business community as to the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities. Advocate for social change to help those with severe disabilities achieve a lifestyle that approximates that of individuals without disabilities.

In this webinar, presenters will highlight findings from a pilot study that examined the effects of training employment specialists to use technology (artificial intelligence, telepresence technology, cognitive support applications) on supported employment service delivery for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in rural communities. Presenters will also explore how these technologies can be used to support job development, onsite job training, and workplace fading.
