One of the most common questions I get is:
“How many sessions will it take to fix my symptoms?”
The honest answer? It depends.
Everyone comes into pelvic floor physical therapy with a different story. Factors like:
• how long symptoms have been going on
• how many symptoms are involved
• lifestyle and activity demands
• stress, sleep, and nervous system regulation
• chronic conditions or other orthopedic concerns
• previous surgeries, pregnancies, injuries, etc.
… all influence healing and recovery timelines
That said, treatment is never just “come forever and hope for the best.” I guide patients through clear phases of care so you always know where we’re headed:
1️⃣ Figure It Out
This is the evaluation + investigation phase. We identify the “why” behind your symptoms, connect the dots, and create a plan tailored to YOU.
2️⃣ Fix the Problem(s)
This is where we address the identified mobility, strength, coordination, breathing, nervous system regulation, habits, and movement patterns contributing to symptoms.
3️⃣ Return to Activity
The goal isn’t just less pain or symptoms — it’s getting you back to the things you want and need to do confidently. Exercise, lifting, intimacy, running, motherhood, work, travel… whatever matters most to you.
4️⃣ Symptom Management + Wellness
Some patients reach full symptom resolution and simply leave with the tools and confidence to manage occasional flares independently. Others benefit from periodic wellness or maintenance visits — especially during seasons of increased stress, pregnancy/postpartum, training cycles, menopause, or changes in activity levels.
One of the benefits of Pelvic Reset is that treatment plans can be tailored to what you actually need, rather than arbitrary visit limits or insurance timelines.
Pelvic PT is not one-size-fits-all care — and healing is rarely linear — but you deserve a plan that’s individualized, collaborative, and focused on helping you return to living fully. 🤍
