June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to recognize that mental health matters for everyone, including men.
For generations, many men have been taught to “be strong,” “tough it out,” or keep their struggles to themselves. Unfortunately, these stigmas can prevent men from seeking help when they need it most.
The reality is that asking for support is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength. Mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, stress, and loneliness affect millions of men, yet many suffer in silence because they fear judgment or believe they have to handle everything alone.
This June, let’s challenge the stigma. Let’s encourage open conversations, support the men in our lives, and remind them that seeking care is an act of courage, not failure.
You do not have to carry the weight by yourself. Help is available, and healing is possible.
