Next month will mark 2 whole years I’ve been a teacher ❤️ I started my Pure Barre journey in Baltimore. I took a class, did an intro month, and was hooked. I became a barretender (fun title for someone that works the front desk) 😉 and when I moved to PA I continued that roll, shortly moving to a teaching position. Now i manage the studio 🥰
I was SO NERVOUS to teach.. I would get so worked up before class, 2 years later and I still have butterflies but loads of confidence surrounding them.
I think when you become a fitness instructor you hope you will impact the people that step into the studio because you are helping them become stronger, but you have no idea how much the members impact you. They keep me going, they hold ME accountable, and I show up for them. Sometimes I tear up in stretch because I look around the room and I see all the people that showed up that day, gave it their all, and worked hard regardless of what they might have going on outside of the studio.
I can’t put into words how much the members and how much teaching means to me, but I sure do feel it 🥰
