Which means it’s time for another monthly challenge! This month we will focus on our abdominals and core strength!!

Set a timer for 10 minutes. You have five exercises to perform for one minute and after exercise five, you will repeat!

1. Windshield Wipers with Leg Lift
2. Sprinter-Sprinter Suitcase
3. V-Ups Right
4. V-Ups Left
5. Spider-Man Pushups

Hey Fit Fam and Friends!

I hope everyone completed September challenge of accumulating 1000 reps of Kettlebell Swings! 🙌🏽

This month, October, we are moving into plank month! Planks are very helpful and useful for building and maintaining your core muscles and the stronger your core is, the stronger you are elsewhere! A strong core will help you become more mobile, flexible and stronger!

Planks…can be performed so many ways…stationary, moving, lifting weights, etc. This month we will practice holding plank for as long as you possibly can, and then move into a moving plank.
October 1-7 = 1 minute per day
October 8-14 = 2 minutes per day
October 15-21 = 3 minutes per day
October 22-31 = 4 minutes per day

There are several pictures attached to give you some ideas to elevate your plank variations. Double tap, comment or tag your accountability partner for the October challenge!!

Hello Fit Family…
It’s been an emotional week losing one of my favorite clients…..Miss Clara Jane! 💜
I have shared many highlights about her as I have had the opportunity to work with her over the last couple years.

She wasn’t the one to talk about herself or her past, but I wanted to share some of her amazing life that she shared with me!

Her favorite color was Red

During Covid, she walked a marathon IN her own home!!

She walked stairs outside her house over a period of time that was equal to walking the Empire State Building!!!

She had hip and knee problems…but would always say…”If I think about it hurting, it’s always worse than I think”

She loved dessert..especially chocolate and she would even skip lunch or dinner and go straight for dessert! 😀

She loved black coffee!
Like all day long!

She taught school at a local college in Arkansas and was told she shouldn’t work there anymore because she was a female and should be home raising her children.

She left….but she typed papers for students and charged them .25 per page and she made a better living for her and her family than she would have working at the college! And she was able to stay home with her kids! …and drink more black coffee!

She loved to read books!
She loved to play the piano!
She loved to paint in water colors..notice all the cards she painted and sent to me…I have kept every single one! She was so skilled and loved to share her love of watercolors with everyone!

When we worked out, no matter what pain she felt, she just embraced the opportunity to get out and do something!

My last day with her, we walked down to the train tracks and she reminisced that her entertainment as a child was waiting for the trains to pass and pull the horn as they passed…fortunately that day…the train passed with a friendly wave and horn blown!

Miss Clara Jane was ahhhh-mazing!

Ahhhh-mazing Transformation for my client,

Sandra started personal training in January 2022. Her goal was to lose weight, gain some muscle, and strengthen her knees and overall health.

August of 2021, Sandra was walking with a cane, obese and could barely make it to her mailbox at the end of her driveway. She decided after taking care of her husband, it was time for her to get healthy. She weighed close to 250 pounds at this time. She started by monitoring her food intake and moving her body more.
She joined the Y and started taking water aerobics, silver sneakers and yoga. Then she decided to hire a personal trainer two days a week in addition to her already busy workout program.
At this time, she had lost almost 50 pounds. Sandra’s training provided her with extensive workouts that incorporated cardiovascular and strength training equipment, mobility and flexibility programs. She would weigh in every week and was measure every month. Since January 2022, she has lost 43 pounds and 35 inches overall!!!! 🙌🏽.

The first picture was taken today and the second picture was August 2021. What a huge difference and a beautiful fit journey she has been on. The last two pictures show the shirt and shorts she currently wears and the shirt and shorts she wore last year!
I have been blessed to be on Sandra’s fit journey this year! Please show Sandra some love and be sure to congratulate her on her hard work!!

Rambling Rose Triathlon 2022!!
Earlier this year, my running buddy said…I would like to do a Rambling Rose…would you be interested…..
Well, that day was today and woah….that was so much fun!! We had a 200 yard swim, 8 mile bike ride and 2 mile run. The weather was beautiful for the day, friends came out to support us and the staff and volunteers were very encouraging!!
A special thank you to .alonso.10 for answering hundreds of questions, calming the soul, being positive, supportive and showing Kim and I how to set up our bikes, our transitions, and extra tips to help us!
It may have been my first, but probably not my last! 🙌🏽
was amazing today! She swam super fast, had a good bike ride and finished fast on her run and ended up 2nd in her age group! 💯🙌🏽💪🏽
I finished 3rd in Masters and .alonso.10 finished 2nd Overall! 💪🏽🙌🏽💯
If you are thinking about trying one, I would highly recommend starting with a Rambling Rose and if you need help with training, I would be happy to help!!
